So I purchased a few potential U20 players at the beginning of this past season just to try something different. Two are already on their respective U20 teams and the other looks like he's going to be picked up soon.

I was serious about training them in playmaking as I made sure to train playmaking all season and stamina during the break. I also got an excellent trainer who has definitely made an impact in training time.

But since I don't have any experience at all with U20 players, when is the best time to sell them? Or are they meant to be kept? Are there any tips in managing these players?

Thanks.

Well...
In general, the U20 coaches will be happier if you train them all the way through the point at which they would get dropped from the team, because you're a known quantity and they have less to worry about somebody else buying and not training a player. But there are a lot of variations from one country to another, including occasional corruption and occasional xenophobic ("not trained here") philosophies.

I can't speak to sales... unless you aspire to have a national teamer, you would probably want to sell them promptly after their final release from the U20 team, as by that point their skills will be running toward the top end of the range where there's a good market. Er, that's moreso for keepers and wingers, it might not be so bad with slower trainers like playmaking. I would guess that they actually sell better when they're still on the team, so you could consider selling around age 20, at the risk of annoying the U20 manager who has to worry about getting the players picked up by a good team.

Thanks for the reply, Craig. I guess I don't know what I want to do at this point. It'd be fun to see them through their U20 careers and possibly after that, but I'm not sure if my income will keep up with their TSI.
