Does anyone know if I can buy and if so where, a regulation ball, like the ones used at official US Men's National FIFA games? It's for a very die hard US Men's fan! Thanks in advance!

Will the next World Cup use that Adidas silver ball that they use in the Champions' League?

The ball they use in Serie A is uglier; Max Bretos says it's unfair to the goalies (for some odd reason).

They are considering using a ball with technological improvements. It is the ball spoken above by Adidas with a microchip inside that will send transmissions to the referees to let them know when a ball has actually gone past the touchline or goal mouth. Also, I'm sure, whether a ball has touched a hand (when a handball is in question).

I dont like this idea , its so gay , its like takeing away a part of soccer , whats next , robot ball boys ? its so gay !

its takeing away a part of soccer because times like when the ball go in but then the ref never sees it , bounce in bounce out , are priceless , now its all junk bec of this

yeah i dont like that part there shouldnt be a chip in the ball, thats making the referees just run up and down and do nothing. the new balls is okay but addidas could have done much better

Horrendous! Call me old fashioned but I'll always prefer the classic black and white checkered ball.

The ball they use in Serie A is uglier;

Serie A has no offical ball. Different teams use different balls.

Absolutely its Soccer. The object of Soccer is for the players to get the ball
into the other teams goal. If they do so but its not visually seen by the center ref or linesman why should their work be taken away or not counted.
Why would 2 mens eyes be more a part of Soccer than adding a little bit of technological assistance? Do glasses or contacts on officials take away from the game?

How would the chip know if the ball touched a hand? sounds like itd be difficult technology...

It doesn't - the "hands" thing was just ill-informed speculation. The chip is only there to sense wether the ball passes the goal line
