Wow. But props to Bruce for giving a look to so many fresh faces. It will be interesting to see what TnT and Cunny do up top.

If nothing else, it should be fun to watch some young, hungry players going at it for 90 mins. good luck, boys!!

Don't mean to toot my own horn, but I'm so excited that this is the first time ever I've seen a lineup exactly as I'd imagined it...

(2nd to last post...)

---------------------------------------------

Here's what I would like to see...

-------------- Hahnemann ------------------
-- Albright -- Marshall -- Conrad -- Vanney --
-- Quaranta -- Dempsey -- Mastro -- Convey --
--------- Cunningham -- Twellman ----------

Give Landon a rest, but put him in if we're behind in the second half. Eddie Johnson still isn't match fit and let's face it - Cunningham and Twellman are in form and both aching to make an impression.

Convey is the only choice for left mid so that's an easy call and Santino has played well on the right. That really gives Dempsey the clearest shot to make things happen and get back on the right track when it comes to the MNT. He needs to refind that killer instinct he appears to have lost temporarily.

Our backline is solid enough against a Ruiz-less Guatemala, and Hahnemann is no slouch in goal.

USA 2, Guatemala 1
