I don't have 'em all, but here goes:
Hahneman
Albright
Convey
Dempsey
Twellman
Cunningham
not starting: Donovan, Ralston
No Ruiz ? Guat doesn't score more than 1.
We put in 3.
3-1 to the Giants of Concacaf.

I wouldn't take this game for granted. It's a must-win for Guatemala, we just qualified, and our players may be rusty due to different faces and experimentation by the Bruce. I would not be surprised to see a tie or loss.

But will probably see;
Hahneman

---------------Hahnemann
---Albright---Marshall---Conrad---Vanney
--------------Mastroeni
-------Quaranta--------Convey
--------------Donovan
------Twellman------Cunningham
Subs: Dempsey in for Donovan, Hejduk in for Vanney, Armas in for Pablo.
2-1.....the US attack is strong, and Santino has a break-through performance to lead it.....

Why exactly would you like to see a goalie at CB?
I know we're a bit weak now, but my goodness.

with a 3-5-2:

id like to see (but definitely will not)-
hahneman
albright-conrad-marshall
dempsey-pablo
tino-donovan-convey
ej-twellman
regardless i think that we will have chances on the counter (since they have to have results) and since we can score on this caliber team when bunkered should sure be able to when they are attacking.
3-0.

I have a feeling the US will play well- for some of these guys this is the world cup.

Another dos a cero? Or is that too optimistic? They'll be playing in a cauldron (just a nasty place to play) against a Pescadito-less team that has their backs to the wall. Can the kids do it? News at 11 I guess...

In my Mexico prediction of 2-0 :) I also included a 3-0 prediction for Guat. with a mid of Q, Donovan, and Convey, I don't think that it would be tough. Let's see if I can go 2 for 2.

My thoughts (http://usasoccer.blogspot.com/2005/09/guatemala-tryouts-begin.html)
Hahnemann, Hejduk, Conrad, Marshall, Albright, Mastroeni, Convey, Quaranta, Donovan, Johnson, Twellman
Pretty sure on most of that lineup. 0-0 for the game. I think we're due for a draw.

Many of the players will be fighting for spots for the WC roster. I think the US will be up for the game. I hope we see this lineup. I don't think EJ should risk further injury if he is not 100%. We know he will be in Germany if healthy. I hope we don't see Armas or Albright. Please Bruce......
-------------------Hahnaman

---Quarantino--------Mastro-----------Dempsey

under ordinary conditions Twellman fights like an animal. In this circumstance, methinks he will go supersonic and get a goal or two.

According to ussoccer podcast our game plan is to pressure their attacking mid and to use quality crosses into the box to take advantage of our height and to use speed to get behind their defense.
Albright----Conrad----Marshall----Vanney
----------------Mastro----------------
----Ralston----Dempsey-------Convey--
----------Donovan----Twellman---------

So it goes...
----------Hahnemann---------
Albright-Conrad-Marshall-Vanney
-----------Mastroeni----------
Quaranta----------------Convey
------------Donovan----------
-------Twellman-Johnson------
Replace Johnson with Cunningham if he's not healthy...otherwise...
Expect Cunningham on for Johnson at the hour mark.
Expect Dempsey on for Donovan soon after
I would guess Armas on for Quaranta if we're up or tied. Ralston on for Mastroeni if we're down.

Twellman with the double.

If history is any indicator of how we'll do (only 1 win in 7 games in Guat), 3-0 for the U.S. will be an impressive achievement.
My how things have changed now that we've qualified for the WC. Just a week ago, people were scheming ways that we might not qualify (predicting gloom-and-doom) or fall to fourth place and end up in a play-in with an Asian team.

Mick...I lived in Bakersfield for a couple of years awhile back.
me and my wife are talking about moving to texas, in the far future. (not houston, I hear that the job market there is tight right now ;)). the housing market is thru the roof here, double that of what I found in Texas.
Regarding the scoreline, if I go 1-1 in my predictions, I'll be ok with that :)

USA roster v. Guatemala
Goalkeepers (2) – Marcus Hahnemann (Reading FC), Matt Reis (New England Revolution)
Defenders (6) – Chris Albright (Los Angeles Galaxy), Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City Wizards), Nick Garcia (Kansas City Wizards), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew), Chad Marshall (Columbus Crew), Greg Vanney (FC Dallas)
Midfielders (6) – Chris Armas (Chicago Fire), Bobby Convey (Reading FC), Clint Dempsey (New England Revolution), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids), Santino Quaranta (D.C. United), Steve Ralston (New England Revolution)
Forwards (4) – Jeff Cunningham (Colorado Rapids), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Eddie Johnson (FC Dallas), Taylor Twellman (New England Revolution)
Here's what I would like to see...
-------------- Hahnemann ------------------
-- Albright -- Marshall -- Conrad -- Vanney --
-- Quaranta -- Dempsey -- Mastro -- Convey --
--------- Cunningham -- Twellman ----------
Give Landon a rest, but put him in if we're behind in the second half. Eddie Johnson still isn't match fit and let's face it - Cunningham and Twellman are in form and both aching to make an impression.
Convey is the only choice for left mid so that's an easy call and Santino has played well on the right. That really gives Dempsey the clearest shot to make things happen and get back on the right track when it comes to the MNT. He needs to refind that killer instinct he appears to have lost temporarily.
Our backline is solid enough against a Ruiz-less Guatemala, and Hahnemann is no slouch in goal.
USA 2, Guatemala 1

1-1
It's a whole different ball game down in Central America. And with the team we're bringing? One goal win at the very best.
