It covered about 70% of it. It sucked, but oh well. Not much you can do about it now. Used part of the settlement to help buy our house, so it worked out!
and i'm sure your insurance company wanted you to use that money towards a house?? :p
i'm guessing all that stuff was covered under homeowners. were you able to get any money from the moving company for maybe a faulty lock or something??

i'm guessing all that stuff was covered under homeowners. were you able to get any money from the moving company for maybe a faulty lock or something??
The insurance was through the moving company and it wasn't a faulty lock. The truck was stolen from their yard. It screams inside job to me.
Anyway, I have had the worst luck with keeping music. I had all my CD's stolen 3 times! :eek: And I am a big music fan. I should have about 2000 CD's now, but alas, only about 30. I have bought Dark Side of the Moon more times than I care to remember. Also, Check your Head by the B-Boys is another multiple buy!

The insurance was through the moving company and it wasn't a faulty lock. The truck was stolen from their yard. It screams inside job to me.
Anyway, I have had the worst luck with keeping music. I had all my CD's stolen 3 times! :eek: And I am a big music fan. I should have about 2000 CD's now, but alas, only about 30. yeah, that is suspicious. you'd think they would be liable for some of the damages because it was on their property. I wonder if your insurance company went after the moving company for some money after they wrote you your check.

At my last firm there was a Danish fellow working with us. A kid of another employee was in the office one day and I introduced the new guy to the kid and told her he was Danish. She replied that I was stupid and he wasn't a breakfast treat! :D

I don't really know what to say to that except that no, I'm not that sweet and I will hit you if you bite me. One of my mates starts work over in Cary, North Carolina in a few months, I guess I'll have to warn him about being mistaken for a breakfast treat.

He'll be working for a company called Landia which is a Danish company specializing in industrial and agricultural pumps. He'll start in a months time or so and then he'll transfer to the US a couple of months later. I'm going to miss him big time.
