Well a simple Yes or No will do it.
Yes for mine. :)

Right about now would be a perfect time for someone to post a link to the goal

Have you seen Trevor Sinclair's for QPR?
My guessing is it will never be beaten. Sorry Mr Viduka

so is it a bicycle kick or is it a scissors kick?
anyways
it was a good goal, but I have seen better bicycle kicks
one example being Rivaldo vs Valencia
and there was one in the gold cup I believe by some guy from Panama

The best overhead volley I ever saw was done by some 18 old kid. He hit one from over 35 yards away from the right of goal in the upper 90 of the far post and it was a bullet.

Viduka's one wasn't the best. Klaus Fischer's goal in the France - West Germany semi-final in the 1982 World Cup was better. The Rivaldo one of was a beauty too.
Get some footage of Francesco Flachi, Hugo Sanchez or Stelios Giannakopoulos and they will show you how it's done.
P.S I wanted to vote for "No" but I accidently clicked on "Yes".

I know Batistuta scored on a spectacular bicycle kick from outside the 18 for Fiorentina but I don't remember if that was in the CL or not. Either way that was an incredible goal.

yeah it was from outside the 18 yard box when a ball just fell towards him in a scramble... he got up in a flash and unleashed an amazing bicycle that arrowed into the postage stamp... nobody expected him to do that... it was pure instinct... i think it was during the 3-3 draw with barcelona, but i dont think it was by batistuta...

Van Basten with Ajax against Den Bosch. The perfect bicycle kick.

Get some footage of Jean-Pierre Papin. He scored loads of uncredible goals like this with Marseille, France and to a lesser extent AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

Well there's a difference between a bicycle kick and a scissors kick, so since this is a "scissors" kick thread, I'd say Manuel Negrete's scissors kick in the 1986 WC is the greatest "scissors" kick (not to mention best goal) I've ever seen. You can view it on the fifa world cup site.

The best one I saw was as player from either North Ireland or Ireland in the World Cup like in the 80's or 90's I don't quite remember.

If it was going to be anywhere I'd say http://latestgoals.net/ but they dont have a section for Oceanic (or whatever) games.
Ace site though
van Basten's is a rival to the Sinclair strike, but I'd chose Trev's still.
The Negrete goal wins scissor-kick but yes, Papin was a genius, as was Mark Hughes and to a slightly lesser extent Gianluca Vialli and various other mid-90's Italians. Hell, Paul Ince scored some wicked overheads. REAL overheads!
