c'mon, he played 25 matches last year (plus 7 in the CL), not exactly christanval or kewell. and this year's injury is a broken bone, which can happen to anyone.

abidal is strong both in body and mind, he's impermeable on defense and a TGV on counterattack. even if the deal was letting him go or having him 2 out of 3 matches and playing the rest at 10 men, then i still would probably keep him! he's solid gold dynamite.
