Milan Baros for refusing Lyon's offer.
Michael Owen for not even considering Lyon as a place he'd like to play.
Michael Essien for obvious reasons

That is all :-)

Just to turn the thread a little bit more positive. The 3 people I love the most right now.

John Carew - He's the man
J-M Aulas - He's the man
Fred - His name makes him the man.

The 3 people I hate the most:

Nilmar - for taking a dive vs. TFC in the French Cup, drawing a penalty which knocked us out.
Wiltord - for scoring against Italy in the last second of the Euro 2000 final.
Dalmat - for being a punk ass bitch.

Ok that last one had nothing to do with Lyon, but I needed a third person. :D

Don't waste your time worrying about what might have been. This is still a very good team...

Really ? Fred sounds cool in english ? in french it sounds a little bit weird because Fred is a common nickname that can be given to anybody (called Frederic, of course). It's a bit like being called "Larry" or "Johnny" ... :D
And it's also a bit disappointing for a brazilian (Fredinho would have been cool :p).

Well its cool in the fact that his name is basically fred. Yeah Fred is fairly common in English but its just rare that the guys actual name is just Fred. Thank you Brasil for you one name names

I can't tell you how much I love watching that goal. The Italians on the touchline thanking their supporters and celebrating then Wiltord scoring at the death, and shaking his finger to the Italian supporters as if to say, nope, aint gonna happen boys.

Nope.

Worst. Goal. Ever.

I still hate Albertini and Ambrosini because of that game. Somehow I picked them as scapegoats. Maybe because they play(ed) for Milan. :D

At least Italians learnt how to put a cork back on a bottle of champagne this day... :p

Well, we also took a lesson on November 17th 1993. :(

I neglected to add Del Piero to that list. Twice, twice he was 1 on 1 with Barthez with Italy up 1-0 with the chance to put it out of reach, and twice he $*&%$&*%$*&% it up. I will never forgive him for that. Unless he leads us to victory in 2006, but I don't see our chances depending on his play.

Yeah, what goes around, comes around.

We scored against Nigeria in the last minute of regulation in 1994 and went on to win in OT. And look what happened to us 6 years later...by the same token, you had Bulgaria, and then were on the other end of what happened in 2000.

This Wiltord goal really eased to heal the PdP trauma.

Kostadinov, Kostadinov, Kostadinov...It's still in my mind !

Winning a trophy will be the only healing for us. But when is that going to happen?

Well, as long as Del Piero is playing up front, and Gilardino is watching him from the bench, then I don't like your chances...... I hope Italy aren't falling into the Baggio syndrome, playing Del Piero through the 2010 world cup. The guy will be out there with a god damned walker....... He'll be older than Roger Milla for gods sake.
