If I didn't live in Columbus and, hence, didn't have familial issues to balance this Saturday, rest assured I'd be at Crew Stadium bright and early for the US tailgate. BUT, being that I most certainly DO have spouse and kids variables at play, I'll be at home until about 5:30, hosting a pre-game event of my own for the group of people I know who are coming into town (from NC, WI, IN, as well as a handful of neighbors who'll be going to the game). My event won't challange what the supporters will be hosting, to be sure, but I will have Usinger's brats, burgers, some good beer (I went with German styles in honor of our impending clinching of a trip to the World Cup, that, and some Belgian brews... just because), and a few other goodies. I have the 2001 US-MEX match on DVD and will be playing it all afternoon, too. If any of you travelling Milwaukee MLS fans want to stop by for a beer or two on Saturday afternoon before heading to the stadium, PM me and I'll get you directions.
