This thread is the place to discuss issues and such ... if you want to be part of Class VI ... email bodmer99@aol.com ... again it's a VERY loose commitment at this point ... just a desire to sit in a section amongst fans that are die hards ... but don't want to stand all game and sing.

Wooo hoooo, Class VI!

I was thinking it could be nice to negotiate with the front office for a discount on next year's kit with Class VI on the back. Everyone wearing those will make some identity.

Those who are tied to the West stands should give the east a try next time they have a chance. I've sat on both and there is something about the east I like better.

Now, who's got an idea for a secret handsake :D

Bonj, I have sat on both sides and I never felt welcome on the East side. I also have vampiric tendencies so the sun is an issue for me.
I don't like being on TV. Thus, not that big on ES.
Esplain what is so good about the eash shide essay. I just never got it, yo.

Also, I realy think we should be away from 127. Sounds stupid but it could help the flow of the energy.

Love the idea of getting a jersey w/the section name on it. Good stuff.

I like how there are less people usually. I like being able to see both benches, when someone is coming onto the field. I don't know. I don't think it is a big difference. I just like it better.

You know, my feelings exactly. The difference is that I like to hear the coaches talk to the refs and yell at each other, and sometimes you get to hear the coach and the players interact.
As for less people, there seems to be a lack all over the stadium so, it doesn't look like much of a difference to me. :D

Hmmm... It seems that we are in the same mind set for what we want to see, now it seems we need to decide the angle. ;)

I have talked with the missus and she would be willing for us to change side if we have to.
The words have been the same since last week, but the tone was different. Last week was a "no chance in he!!" type Have to. This week it is more of a "I am warming to the idea, can we bring our friends" type of thing.

I think the major issue is the site line from the front row.

The few that mentioned this - PLEASE check it out asap - drop into 103 and 104 and see if Wolde's head is in the way!

I can see the bonus to being closer to 127 as well. If we're in 125...then we can kind of take over/influence 126. We really get a decent side of the stadium making noise. I think a larger cluster in the same area will do more than competing groups in different areas.

Location wise, I think the best situation would be on oppsite sides of the stadium (north & south) or directly across from each other (east & west). Putting the 2 groups too close together may come across as like someone already said "lazy supporters".

I don't get "lazy supporters". What does that mean?

Obviously I don't think any supporters are lazy, but when you have a bunch of standing/singing/chanting fans 2 sections over, the one's who are just sitting and cheering may look like rouge 127'ers who don't feel like standing.

EDIT: Obviously thats just my opinion.

This is just a wild assumption, but...

I assume the Rapids would like for us to be on tv, which means the east stands. I also don't think it hurts for us to be spread out further away from 127 as it may a)help liven up the crowd (not with cheers, but enthusiasm), and b) look good to have another supporters group in view when the camera angle changes.

GoRapids will know better, but if we are to get a good deal (concessions) from the Rapids then it makes sense to try to help them achieve some of their goals as well.

Ok. I guess I feel like we'll look better than those who sit in 125 now...excluding GoRapids ofcourse. :) We'll at least try to cheer along and will get fired up when the team is playing well. I feel like we could help magnify the efforts of 127.

I think that it will work anywhere you put it. It will be better than whats there regardless. The differences are just our preferences.

I think the TV angle may be valid. Going with that thought, it might make sense for the section to be towards the north. The logic being the more vocal and visable fans would be in view regardless of which end of the field the action is. Maybe in sections 120 or (better as it's more towards the center) 121

I think the tv angle is a moot one for this group. We are not going to be animated all game and we will nt be doing anything visible enough to be on tv. Sure we will get up when there is a great or greatly f'd up play, but otherwise we will not be animated enough.
I understand that the FO wants to show full seats, but I don't think it will be a deal breaker if we are off camera.

Also, if there is problems with non cheering on that side of the stadium, I say that is even more reason to move it to the west side since we have no problem with people yelling at us for yelling at the field.

My invitation is still open to get people into 104/103 to check the view from the first row. Just let me know.

Another reason stated for the East side by the Rapids was that there are less taken seats there and they could be more flexible.

But the reason was that most season ticket holders live in the West side.

I think it's really up to us.
I don't want anybody to be excluded - so my concerns are askum's strong preference to the East - and I forget who's concern about the bench's obscuring the view from row 1.

Those are the only two groups that have strong concerns - everyone else seems to be of the opinon of "Whatever works".

I'll do whatever works. I like the east, I'm used to the east but I've sat on the West and it is the fine.

Well if I am the only one providing the stone wall, I will shutap and talk to the missus and the other possible parties that might be talked into this.

Personally, if the majority is for the East and not the west stands then I will do my best to convince the others to go to the east side. Or should I say whatever side I do not sit in now. (since I have forgotten and am growing confused by the east vs. west conversation.)

I will have more to say on Sunday.
*groan* Now I have to get the step stool and the can opener. Do I even remember what it is like to have my "manhood" attached? :D

Okay, why don't we just decide on a section and see who is and is not willing. My personal situation dictates that I must react to the others after the section is chosen.
I (just me) am all for whatever section, so let's just choose one and go from there.

Or, here are which sections (areas) I would like to sit in in order of importance:

102/103/104
107/108/109
119/120/121
125/126

Can we try to filter out an area and then decide on a section. It is inevetable that some poeple are going to be left out because they don't like the section or side. So now might be the time to start weeding.
