Can anyone suggest a good place to watch the game in New Haven ?
I'll be in town for a wedding, and need to steal away for a few hrs to make sure Bruce isn't upset with me.

There are some bars on Crown Street by the Yale Campus that might show the game. There used to be a sports bar there where I'm sure they'd give you a tv. The problem is I graduated 9 years ago so I don't know if it's still there. However, there should be other regular bars there with tvs.
Check Crown st. between College and York.

The Playwright is probably a good bet. Big Irish pub right across the street from the Omni Hotel.

They have a sister pub, with the same name, in Hamden on the corner of Whitney and Putnam. A lot smaller -- I prefer it because its more "neighborhoody."

If it wasn't my daughter's birthday, I'd offer to meet up with you. Oh well, going to have to watch it from the comfort of my den.

I watched a qualifier last year at Anna Liffey's on Whitney Avenue downtown. Probably your best bet, just ask them to turn on the TV upstairs. I'll be in Hartford though tomorrow night.
