Are they for ppl who wear galsses as an alternative to sports glasses, or are they for anyone who think that they will help them see better??

frankly i cant see them helping THAT much, i stick to my regular contacts
i guess for people who dont wear glasses they could act as sunglasses or something but yeah

there was a piece on this 2 weeks ago on "World Soccer" (FSC).
The idea is that the contacts cut down on glare, and are specifically designed for use by goalies who have to look into the sun sometimes to see a ball in flight.

Heh so they catch the ball only to find the contacts have melted to there eyes nice. Dont think the focus ones would be right cause too much stress on the eye like wearin someone elses glasses just cause eye damage. Glare ones i can see but have to be choice games. Dont think much to the idea in genral really.

I think the US WNT has worn them in the game already. Sort of a field test.

Yeah in Baltimore where i live a baseball player named brian roberts has been using them and apparently they make the ball so much easier to see and hit
i dont see this being that big of a deal in soccer as it would be in baseball

would suck if one of them fell out in a game and they were prescription.

I still remember i think it was in Euro 96 Darren Andertons contant fell out an the physio ran on with his little bag and popped a new one in for him thought it was funny at the time, expecially the little looks Anderton was doin to see where it had fallen out on the pitch. Not exactly the easyiest things to fall out ive always played with mine in otherwise i doubt id make out the ball an never had too many probs.

Yeah, so i hear from my friends that play baseball it helps them focus on the balls much better. i also had a reff at state cup that was wearing them and he said it helps him focus much better.
