Had a convo yesterday with a Spurs fan recounting Ossie Ardiles' Tottenham Hotspur of the mid 90's. I think that is actually the most attack minded team I have ever seen. Their formation(if you could call it that) was 2-4-4/ 1-4-5 or something in that vein and every game they would attack like madmen.
Thinking back, I can't think of a team that comes close to being so kamakaze like regarding attack. Who for you is the most atacking side you've ever seen? It doesn't matter if it's a club or a NT. Shoot.

The current Brazilian national team is geared to attacking. At the confed cup, they basically played 2 strikers and 2 attacking mids. Their wing backs are also geared into the attack and seem to spend more time attacking than defending. If Roberto Carlos and Cafu come back for the world cup then it will be even more so since I'm not sure if Roberto Carlos has done any defending in the past couple of years. Ronaldo will be back for the World Cup so it wouldn't be that shocking to seem the runout a line up that has Ronaldo and Adriano up front with Ronaldinho, Kaka and Robinho right behind them with either Emerson or Ze Roberto as a holding mid.

I immediately had to think of Holland in the 1974 World Cup, especially in the rout vs. Argentina. Clubwise Borussia Mönchengladbach of the early 1970s would be my pick.

The first half yes, the second half they were not as attacking.

Czech republic of recent times... 1 holding mid, 2 cbs and 2 fullbacks who played almost like wingers... they played/play with reckless abandon.

Brazil '58, with its 4-2-4, was hugely attack-minded.
On paper a 4-2-4, but of course both full-backs loved
to attack. The right-winger, Garrincha, had exclusive
attacking responsibilities, and then the forwards were
very creative, switching from left to right, running about,
dribbling flamboyantly.
That team scored tons of goals--5 in a WC final, which
is an amazing stat.

Any team coached by Rijkaard. His opinion on defense seems to be "if our attackers never lose the ball, what do I need a defense for"?

Yes. That is why they only managed to score two goals at the 02 World Cup.

yes thats a good call...
i think in the second half of that euro2004 match with holland, when he removed galasek, they were playing with 5 attacking mids, two forwards and 2 very offensive wingbacks...
i know it was against 10 men, but thats just one example... they were superb to watch as well!
