No real surprise about PAETAC Park, and it's probably better to open at 100% than doing it like Dallas did and come off looking bad.

Pizza Hut Park STILL looks bad. They need to paint the very drab walls that surround the field red, red and white hoops, or get ads or something that makes it look finished or not so dull. The stage area also makes the stadium look awful. They could very easily place temporary bleachers on the stage or at the very least hang a curtain with a sponsor logo or an FC Dallas logo on it. Also, without a roof, the stadium looks half done or missing an upper tier. Bridgeview will make this stadium look like Crew Stadium - which to be honest looks better, even though, I know it is not as good as PHP.

everyone is so quick to bash PHP, and i just dont see it... i would much rather play in MY OWN STADIUM thats partially finished, then pay rent at the cotton bowl or the over sized soldier field or any of that ilk. granted there were construction delays that could've/should've/would've been figured into the whole construction time table, but it wasnt. or wasnt considered closely enough. bottom line to me is, PHP is an MLS stadium, all the extra revenue goes to Dallas (or someone other than a landlord), beer money goes to dallas, parking goes to dallas. that trumps anything else that MLS "tennants" have.

bridgeview will be amazing, but chicago's not playing in there now, are they.

Just remember there making these stadiums with enough room to expand. So if needed they can add a partial roof or add a tier or even remove the stages in these places. it's all in the future

Can somebody educate me as to why I'm wrong in liking Pizza Hut Park so much?

I know, I know, since I've actually been inside for all three games played there, I lack the proper perspective that only a shut-in who's only experienced it from the other side of a TV screen can give me, but somebody help me out.

Well, I do agree about the plain walls and the its unfinished state, but that's about it.

Remember, the Bronco's Mile High Stadium was originally built as a baseball stadium, and turned into one of the crown jewels of the NFL (go to hell INVESCO). Penguin's Mellon Arena was originally built as an amphitheatre, only to be turned into a great hockey arena. I'm sure PHP can easily improve.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.
