I had a bit of a brainfart and I got my dates mixed up between the West Ham and the Charlton match. I had ruled out any trips in January due to exams but with it being played on the 31. it shouldn't pose a problem. I'll talk to the others and see what we can agree on.

Good to see you guys handling yourselves. Needless to say, with all that's going on in the world, my time and energy is being sucked dry by the Politics board.
Just another reason I love you guys so much. No problems! ;)

We're just lulling you into a false sense of security. ;)
Seriously, the past few days have been my first foray into the partisan ugliness that is the Politics board. I've been really disappointed with the level of debate over there. When did people totally give up on thinking for themselves and just begin parroting whichever party line they feel comfortable embracing?

Is anyone using RSS? every site i go on offers it, but i'm not sure if i want it. To be honest i really don't get what the point is. I'm worried that i'll be overloaded with alot of info i don't really want, also.

For about roughly the last ten years or so.
Seriously, I'm sick of it. I finally ended up writing a letter that I sent to the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, Bill O'Reilly and Michael Moore asking everyone to please take one week and don't talk politics, using the energy normally wast...I mean used doing that to help out with what's going on in New Orleans and Mississippi. I got exactly zero responses to said letter, and I sent it on Friday. I guess asking people to not talk politics just isn't sexy enough!

I use it and I really like it a lot. It keeps me from going to the same websites every ten minutes checking for new stuff. However, I don't use it on the boards, as that might drive me nuts with some of this stuff. But for news sites, it's worth it.

I'm trying to figure things out. Originally I wanted to do a late autumn trip but I'm starting a new job and don't think it would be a good idea to take off so soon.

There's a few reasonable people over there, depending on the thread, but by and large a frightingly large proportion of the posters seem to be more or less mindless people automatically attacking anybody with a slightly different opinion, which sadly to an outsider seems to be way the political climate is in th US these days. If you can ignore the drivel you might get involved in a decent discussion otherwise it's just WR with another kind of topic.
