I don't know, Mick is still screwing every supermodel in the world, and Keith is still alive, that's pretty cool. Their concerts now probably aren't really that cool, that's why i have no plans of going (even though i probably should). But those albums are timeless, and they are the coolest.

I went to a show in 97 and it was actually really good. They're professionals..

Saw the Stones in 94, 97, and 02. Great stuff all three times. I'd go again if it didn't cost $450 bucks!

That's exactly my point! ;)

damn it! :p I think it doesn't matter. The Beatles as a group were done, but not each artist individually. The world went from one group to four! Although, I don't know if Ringo counts.

He doesn't. Then consider that one of those bands was Wings, another included Yoko Ono, and well, nothing really wrong with George Harrison, but he was a bit boring and the sitar crap was pretty tiresome.

No, that's Cream and The Yardbirds. I agree re: Cream, but as far as 60's British bands go, I much prefer The Kinks. Village Green Preservation Society and Arthur are masterpieces.

The Kinks are truly the underrated British band of the 60s and 70s.

the Kinks freaking rock.

I've got Lola vs the Powerman and Something Else.

The strip club where Davies met the stripper that inspired "Lola" is still around.

Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man

I also went to Denmark St when I was in London. Its where all the music publishers were in the 60s and its a great tune.

One of my favorite bands ever. I'm going to make a pilgrimage to Muswill Hill (a short busride up from finsbury park) on this visit... Now if you want to talk about a band that wasn't cool in the 60's.. (anytime after 65..) ;)

VGPS is my all time favorite album.

That wasn't the real Gerry, that was just an old drunk who pretends to be Gerry in order to bum free beers from naive tourists. Ironically, the real Gerry drowned in a Ferry accident in 1973.

Yeah, it did! I'm actually kind of glad, i hate it when i get scared by some fat ass upstairs falling down or something. It wasn't too much, just one good shake lasted about 2 seconds. Whew!
