Umbro (8.8 oz.)
Puma (9.4 oz.)

Puma is real nice I tried them on they felt great, Umbro lighter and more technology. Black execs would be easy to keep clean. My team is red so I was wondering if it would look stupid with blue shoes with tiny bit of red. Puma has the soft leather and Umbro has the microfiber that is supposedly soft. Pumas cost a little more.

What one do you choose for a red team.
Puma King Exec Black/White or
Umbro Elite X Lite Navy/White/Red

my personal choice would be the pumas because i think they are amazing and you know the fit properties of k-leather. I also know that the elite x is a wider boot as well. the pumas are more narrow and the black and white goes well with just about anything. I dont think you can go wrong with the king execs unless you have a really wide foot. Matthewfoo has them i think. here is the link to the previous post about them http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229210&highlight=elite

My foot is real wide I think cause I remember when I bought azt 3's they were the only shoe that really felt good and i couldnt wear copa mundials or any adidas for that matter. But now its like my foot changes daily. I feel good in vapors and execs as far as width. The wierdest thing is I ordered kelme masters (the cheap version) which are supposedly the widest or one of the widest shoes available but they didn't feel good at all. Just like copas when I would push weight to one side (like a stepover or just turning 180 degrees) it felt like my foot slid off the insole and just was touching leather. I don't know how to explain it.

I recently go the Umbro Elite X lite in the blue colourway and i have to say that they are a very nice boot. They look good, feel good and are really nice and light, but not too light that u feel that at any moment some big ogre of a centre backk will come and boot his studs through ur foot! I have to admit that they are quite wide at the ankle and i have to really tie the laces tight so that they don't move around to much and come out. However i probably could have down with a uk9 or uk9.5, but i got these on the cheap on ebay so i can't complain.

Saying all that, i saw the Puma Exec yesterday and although they were only in the kids size they looked really good, however i could not get a feel of how light they were because they weren't anything near the size i would need.

It's ur call, both quality boots, Elite X lites are light and feel good but u can't go wrong with Execs, but they might be 2 narrow for u.

Hope that helped ;)

Yeah i was surprised at how light the execs are..but the best part is the lining on the inside of the leather it makes them by far the most comfortable cleats i've had
