Any sport-bar in NY you'd recommend?

This thread is to provide an answer for Alex, who
posted the message below in another thread.

Basically, Alex will be in NY from October 29th
till November 5th. He's mostly interested in
watching Lyon's Champion's League game
against Olympiakos on November 1st.
Where could he go? Any pubs / sportbars you
know of and would recommend?

Also, there are French championship's games
on October 29th and November 5th. I don't know
if he could make it to these, but same question:
where could he go?

I 2nd Nevada Smith's. The last 2 summers I visited NY, I made sure to drop by there. I was there 2 weeks ago to watch Eng-Den, Holland-Germany, and Italy-Ireland. It's primarily an English bar, but there are all sorts of fans from different nations there.
