But for a big club, like Newcastle ;) , £37m to improve a squad as much as these signings will is not as much as they would have lost if they had not improved the squad. We still need another striker though.

Of course, that's the first eleven when everyone's fit, but Newcastle's problem is quality in depth, because right now, with Emre and Dyer out, the side just isn't the same.

The backups at Newcastle are not Premier League quality IMO (or at least they're not right now).
