Fire holds off Rhinos-Daily Southtown (http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dssports/pro/252sd4.htm)

From the article:
"We asked (Armas) what position he wanted to go in and he said, 'Five,' " Sarachan said. "I told him, 'It's yours.' "

That was a pretty gutsy move after that Panama Gold Cup PK debacle. On the part of Armas and Sarachan.

"Students at Wasatch Elementary School wasted little time getting to the heart of the matter during a special assembly with Real Salt Lake players D.J. Countess and Seth Trembly on Wednesday morning.
Asked how many games the team has won Countess told the group RSL had six victories. "That's not very many,” said a voice down in front. "

Now that's comedy right there.

Balboa was a kick for MLS-Rocky Mountain News (http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/rapids/article/0,1299,DRMN_51_4028540,00.html)

"He [Balboa] said one of his goals is to restore the Rapids' jerseys to their original green color, instead of their current blue and black."

EXCELLENT news! Of course, I'm speaking as a fan of MLS in general, not as a Rapids fan, but I would love to see the green jerseys back.

Funny indeed, but then there was this bit:

"Nearly half the students raised their hands when asked if they had been to an RSL game over the summer. A few wore RSL T-shirts."

That's pretty cool and impressive.

That is great news. Although it's been a while since they had them now. They just need to replace the blue stripes with green.

Why not keep both versions? The old green as first choice, and maybe the blue/black as a second or third choice?

I think the blue/black ones are the best-looking in the league.

"He [Balboa] said one of his goals is to restore the Rapids' jerseys to their original green color, instead of their current blue and black." Hear, hear. Get it done. Right now, no question.
