If the current board members, Shepherd et all, continue to drag the club in to the gutter, would you be in favour of protest and boycotts of club merchandise?

I have to say yes.

Yes

I've been thinking about starting a thread like this for awhile, but I always felt a Geordie should take the lead considering I'm six thousand miles away.

We should try and use this thread to organize like the Villa and Man U fans. Hell B'ham fans quickly got together to keep Bowyer away. We can do the same.

I already canceled my annual kit purchase from the club and I'm not coming to St.James until change has occured. I'll save my money for WC2006.

I think everybody's panicking right now and acting a bit rash. So he made NUFC compete in that damn cup which the Toon's chances of winning were marginal when they should've gotten some rest that they obviously need now. So the first few matches ended rather poorly, but there's 35 more rounds to go, people.
You may not like the owner, but at least he's not Glazer. :)

Despite some of your digs at our situation, I still feel it's only right to help you guys out...

Boycott? Yes. This is getting ridiculous.

I own one Newcastle shirt (03/05 home)...and it will be my last until things start shaping up.

I'd be embarrassed to have the Newcastle decal on my car if anyone around here knew who the **** Newcastle United is :D

haway the lads

I will now only wear my Toffs 1970's Newcastle home shirt now. I did not buy this seasons new shirt and i will not buy the next one, unless Shepherd is out.

I feel so honoured that one of my comments has been deamed worthy to be added to your sig. :D

Shepherd: I'll step down when Newcastle wins trophy
tribalfootball.com - September 4, 2005

Newcastle United chairman Freddy Shepherd says he'll step down as soon as the club lifts a trophy.

Asked to outline his aims for this season, Shepherd replied: "It's got to be a top-six finish and a trophy. Why not? Yes, we've got a point less in the league than we had this time last year when Bobby [Robson] was here but we always seem to get a bad start and have recovered well before.

"The season starts here. Let's crack on. When you look at our team now, with people like Michael, [Alan] Shearer, [Scott] Parker, Emre, [Alberto] Luque, [Nolberto] Solano and [Kieron] Dyer in it; well, Christ, people would kill for our squad. It's the best we've ever had here."

If it turns out to be as good on the pitch as on paper, that squad may succeed where disaffected fans have failed and terminate Shepherd's chairmanship. "If we win anything, I will retire immediately," he declared.

"People will be praying that happens."

Refusing to rule out the possibility that he could be succeeded by his son Kenneth, he said: "It would be up to the board to decide who was next, but it would be a lovely problem for them to have."

If this is true I have never wanted silverware for this club as bad as I want it now.

I've recently had the strong urge to get a new home shirt with Shearer 9 on the back.

   Why bother getting the name on the back? No-one will be able to tell whos name it is ;)

Buy this instead http://www.toffs.com/invt/1163 and whack a red number 9 on the back. It's future proof plus no money to freddy and it looks cooler
