I registered on here in November of 2003, but there was not much activity then as there is now, so I thought this time was the time to return to BigSoccer.

As my username suggests I follow Adelaide United, have done so since the inception. Before that I had not been to a soccer match, so when I came to that first game at Hindmarsh... I finally saw what I was missing.

Looking forward to shooting the breeze and talking all things A-League and what not.

What the heck is Adelaide????

Adelaide -- capital of South Australia, a state/province of Australia.

The A-League has taken over from the old National Soccer League which was the top level in Australian soccer. Adelaide United is a relatively new club which played in the final NSL season, where they finished third.

The new league started last night, Adelaide taking a 1-0 win against Newcastle in Northern New South Wales.
