I didn't know that either. Is it supposed to make it taste better?
Yeah...I'm told it gives it a hint of pineapple taste.

Wow. I guess, for my girlfriend's sake, I'll have to start eating a lot of pineapple. :D
On another note, we're about to get nailed by another typhoon here. The plus is that it got me the afternoon off.

Anyone else shocked by the scenes coming out of New Orleans right now? Especially the people taking shelter at the Superdome. It reminds me of Escape From New York. I couldn't imagine being there.

On August 26, 2004, I was forced to cancel my first ever trip to Saratoga Race Course due to a heart attack. I had been hoping to see the 135th running of the Travers Stakes.
On Saturday, I finally made it to Saratoga Springs.

Well i go away for a few hours and it doesn't seem like I missed much. (Sort of glad I missed that last part. :))
Anti--where are you staying in London? what's your plan so far?

Ian, my parents just moved up to Albany and went up to Saratoga a few weeks back. They're not horse racing fans, but they had an awesome time up there. I'm really looking forward to going next year if I get the chance.

What? You can't tell me that finding out pineapple improves the flavor of man-juice isn't useful information! ;)

Ian the colors are just brilliant! I love your horse picks. I used to stay in Hot Springs a lot and drive to LR to work early in the morning and would drive past Oaklawn Racetrack. I must say there are few things more beautiful than watching the horses practicing during that pinkish glow of the sunrise.
BTW I love all your pics from the track. It's so funny b/c I didn't realize you were a photographer. I was actually going to tell you to snap a few kodaks while your there betting some time for me...and hell turns out you do a helluva lot more than that. :) Of course you could just be a compulsive gambler...;)
Glad you were able to go. I know you were hoping you would be able to with the baby and such. Your recovery is remarkable. Take good care of the kiddo...and don't forget to post lots of pics...Anti just adores them ;)

It's just a special place. The directions on how to get there on the NYRA brochure say, "Drive 175 miles north on I-87, get off at exit 14, turn left onto Union Avenue, and turn back 100 years."
That about covers it.

I must say, completely honest here, I have never even heard of such a thing and cannot imagine trying to convince a man to drink it so that...well...ya know....
Although sweet and salty do compliment each other ... so who knows?

One of my good friends at the track is the Belmont/Saratoga/Aqueduct bugler, Sam Grossman. He took me around, introducing me to lots of people in the owners' boxes, and I took a lot of pictures of him with various racegoers.
I've already sold prints to 4 people who have called since Saturday.

Started a new job last week, doing portrait photography. Needless to say, my ability to do PBP's is pretty much nil.

I haven't made any hotel plans yet. I'm basically going to fly in to Heathrow, then head out to Cardiff to meet up with my cousin. We are going to drive up to West Brom together to see the Arsenal game. After the game i'm heading back to London and will probably crash on Rick's couch for the night, as we are flying out to Prague at 9 the next morning. I've got a flight to return to London that Wednesday but i might change it to get an extra night or two in Prague. I'll be back in London for the Man City match and i'll probably stay in Islington for that weekend. I haven't figured out where yet but i know that there's a Hilton in Islington, and i read somewhere that all the Hilton's in London are having cheap fall rates. I'll have a week in London to kill before the Scum game so i might plan another trip, depending on who/where Arsenal's Carling Cup match is that Wednesday. But i'll be in London that Friday to prepare for the Scum (even though i'm not sure that Rick will be able to secure a ticket) and then probably stay someplace cool in the West End until the CL game, then i'm off home the day after.

Good luck with the new job Ian. Why does your post reminded me of "Easy Money"? :D

So we're 25 posts or so from the magical 500 mark. Any new ideas for thread names? I have a few possibilities:
Naked Lizard's Super Nudes
The Nude with the Golden Buns
Revenge of the Nudes III: The Nudes Strike Back
