Josh has been really good and we have had a fun weekend. Went swimming at a friends pool yesterday and he loves the water. My friend has a 5 year old daughter and Josh is convinced that she is his girlfriend (how he knows about this stuff at 4 years old I have no idea!)........
Are you home yet? In VA I mean.....
I fly home tomorrow afternoon.

Ok outta here-I have footie practice in 2 hours and I have to take Josh to his grandmothers house-I sound so uncool but at least I don't drive a minivan! :D

I'm jealous, Steph. I'm in rehab for my hamstring and won't be playing until the middle of next month.

Anyone hear Nick Hornby's short story on this week's This American Life (http://thislife.org/) ? I didn't hear the beginning so i didn't know who was telling the story, but when some familiar names started popping up for characters in the story, i began to get suspicious.

No, I missed it, but apparently it's from a new short story colllection coming out. When you say familiar names, who exactly are you referring to?

The story is set in a small country in the Alps with barely enough players to field a national team, Mr. Grimandi and Mr. Flamini are two of the players on the team.

No, not yet. What's up? Lately I've been downloading mash-ups like crazy from Party Ben, Mash-Up Mike, DJBC, and more - great stuff.

they are kick ass. "Darts" is a great cd. I was buying my ticket last night for their Bowery Ballroom show 9/8. if they are in Philly or near you, I highly suggest going to the show.

So did you watch Rome? I checked it out and thought it was ok but not great. I've heard it get better in a couple of weeks when they keep the action in the city. I still doubt it'll come close to "I, Claudius" though.

it was okay. I was watching as I was packing for my trip; admittedly I did not give it my full attention. What I did see did not throw me out of my chair, so to speak. I will think of this show as a filler until the new Curb season!
I thought we were cou-de-la? :D
