Sorry if this has been posted before, but the Guardian has a 'new stats centre' which includes some info on MLS.

TonySomeone should tell them it's "FC Dallas" now, not "Dallas Burn".

Thanks for the pointer ... one good thing about these numbers is that they aren't spread very far apart. The refs who have made it into double figures range from 2.8 and 4.0 cards per game, which could easily be explained by random variation.

Compare that with 1996-1999, when different refs were all over the page. I'm not saying I favor the way MLS appears to be meddling in this article, but consistency in refereeing is very important.
