Just another schedule site..... http://www.myp2p.eu/index.htm

Credit to whoever posted it on the Manchester United forum ahead of the game with Watford on Saturday. (sorry I can't remember who you were and I'm not trawling through a 500 post thread to find it :p ).

Some background: right now I am in Asia, staying in a hotel. There is no cable TV. The broadband ISP also blocks all the BT traffic. So I have to rely on P2P streaming for my Euro soccer fix.

What I have to get are the sports channels from China. In China, each TV national/regional TV network has a set of channels, a general channel, movie channel, news channel, sports channel, sometimes kids channel. The only channels I am interested in are the sports channels from national TV (i.e. CCTV5) and from regional TV (i.e. Guangdong TV Sports, Shanghai TV Sports).

OK, this is my take on the various P2P streaming programs and what kind of soccer coverage each of them offers.

PPLive - that used to be a very good source for Euro soccer streaming. But haven't used it for almost a year, I've found it deterioated a lot. Right now there is only one sports channel:

* Shaanxi TV sports - carries a few Premiership games during the weekend. That's about it.

PPStream - this one is very good. It has the following sports channels:

* Guangdong TV Sports - mainly Premiership, Champions League (the same games as ESPN Asia/Star Sports), la Liga and some Serie A
* Guangzhou TV Sports - Premiership and Champions League
* ESPN - I think that's the ESPN from the Phillipines, mainly Champions League and Premiership
* Classic Football - I don't know where this channel's from, but it has lots of old games

The best thing about PPStream is that it sets aside a separate channel for the marquee games. For example, for a couple days, they set aside a channel for repeated showings of France X Italy from last week. For today (Wednesday 9/14), it sets aside a channel for 2 games: Milan X AEK Athens and Lyon X Real Madrid.

Sopcast - this one is also pretty good

* Shanghai Sports - CL, Premiership
* CCTV5 - this is the national sports channel, mainly internationals, Bundesliga, la Liga and Serie A
* ESPN Asia, Star Sports - I think both ESPN and StarSports on Sopcast are from China
* Guangdong Sports
* Szechuan Sports - don't know much about this one

PPMate - this one has a very good lineup, including BTV6, Beijing TV's sports channel. However, PPMate is very unreliable. I can only connect in less than half of the time...

BTV6 - this one is good for Champions League and Premiership, and it replays the games frequently. This is where I try to catch the games a few days later had I missed the original telecasts and the same-day replays
CCTV5
ESPN - I think there is a mix-up. This is actually Star Sports

And if you look at the channels under Sports, this is a channel called "qian dan". That's Michael Jordan all the time.

TVKoo - not much sports content, there is only one sports channel on its lineup, Shanghai TV Sports

Are you kidding me?

This site soccertorrent.com only offers 3 Premiership games this weekend (10/14): Arsenal X Watford, Reading X Chelsea, Boro X Everton. And it's a BT site, i.e. games won't be available for BT download until the games is over.

I am watching Wigan X Man U on one of the numerous P2P streaming clients, live, not a torrent. And using P2P streaming, you get Liverpool X Blackburn, Wigan X Man U, Arsenal X Watford, Reading X Chelsea, and Portsmouth X West Ham today.

Yes, I believe UEFA.COM offers a pay per view streaming service of all Champions League and UEFA Cup games. <P>Another way to get EPL and some UEFA games is to subscribe to ITVN. It is 14.95 a month and streams games to a box that they provide that hooks up to your TV, You can get alll the Setanta games that way.

Yep, true, you can only download the games once theyre done but anyone who has ever been to the site knows the quality of the games posted and they get upped super quick, not to put down P2P streaming but it's not exactly the most stable way of watching a game at the moment. I prefer to just wait a bit longer, at least it's a reliable source.

www.tvandsportstreams.com is the best ive found, and ive been searching for the best for well over a year, has most premiership games in ENGLISH, as well as a lot of cricket and other sports, only downside is the 9 bucks a month fee, good streams about 300k

Is anyone using Windows Media Player 11? I just downloaded it last night an am trying to watch the Liverpool-Watford match (with English commentary) through TVAnts, but keep getting this message: "The file you are attempting to play has an extension (.) that does not match the file format. Playing the file may result in unexpected behavior."

Anyone know if this is a WMP error or something withe stream itself? My Sopcast seems to be working with WMP 11. Wondering if I should downgrade back to WMP 10...
