I don't think Samuel belongs on that list.
I second that.
Add the likes of Zidane and Raul to the list.

walter samuel belongs on that list, no doubt, he was a total wreck at real madrid after being quite successful at roma.
zidane is aging so don't hold that against him. raul definitely belongs on the list.
but johnson, almuinia and huth were never that good.

He came onto his game and will prove his class back at Inter. One relatively poor domestic season, by his high standards, does not mean he deserves inclusion in this list.

Del Piero anyone?

Vieri, anyone? ;)
As for Johnson - he had a very poor season last year, but he's what - 21? Give him some playing time (which he doesn't have at Chelsea) and you'll likely see a better player. He needs to play more; I think he'll go on loan next season.
As for Huth.......um, how's he gotten any worse? He's never been the next coming of Baresi, but he's a pretty good player.

SerieA masked his total lack of pace. He's always been a hack who was lucky to play alongside good defenders. God only knows how poor he'd be in the EPL.

Samuel was great at Boca, Roma, and the Argentine NT. So he has proved on different stages that he is a great player. He had one bad year in is career trying to adapt to a team that plays no defense. Sometimes it takes a year to settle into a different league. I'm sure he would have done better if he played a second year in Spain.

Vieri, anyone? ;)
He has started well for Milan, I think we'll be seeing the old Vieri this season. He's still very powerful, quality was never in doubt, he just has to have his mind clear and set on football.

Glen johnson was bought for 6 mil and IMO SHOULD be sold for 1-2 mil. that is a pure example of players who just suck nowadays.
Samuel can improve for sure.
Vieri is frustrating.
ZIzou is still good and a vital player.
Raul sucks(for now) and should be benched.
LUIS FIGO is another one who should be here.
Stam and Maldini are still effective.
Cygan . if you've seen him in france you would compare him to Cannavaro helguera campbell ferdinand, thuram nesta etc. but look at him now!!!!
Huth is the perfect player that i can use the phrase good but has to mature alot. mistimed tackles, penalties and freekicks, yellow cards, sure he has the body for the job but he's toooo inexperienced

I'll give you Stam, but Maldini? Maldini is still great.
Another player that just sucks is Christian Pannucci of Roma.
