Too bad he was sold before Liverpool plays Villa at Anfield. I predict great things from the Czech in his new Anfield debut.

Possibly.

Per minute played? Nope.

Liverpool's midfield is going to be a lot better than Villa's- Baros will start each and every game for a while, at least. Before he was sold, Baros was inarguably the Liverpool striker with the most proven Premiership quality, though his peers haven't had a whole lot of time. It speaks more to the relative and under-rated weakness of Liverpool's striking options than his quality that I wish they would've waited to sell him.

I'm looking at Liverpool's striker options and I'm not seeing anyone we're sure is a top-level EPL striker.

I understand it's a financial decision, and Rafa has only been playing with one up top, but Cisse and Moro need to make themselves very useful (if nothing else rolls in as far as a forward), or an improvement has to be made, when you consider Liverpool's aspirations and the talent at the comprable clubs.

Am I crazy?

Understandable if Villa wouldn't give up Solano. You really can't put a price on a guy nicknamed "Nobby."

Nope brotherman - you are dead on. Our most proven scorer in the EPL is a Peter Crouch.

Your probably right, but thats irrelevent. Rafa didn't sell Baros because he is a bad player, he sold him because he is on the last year of his contract and wasn't going to sign a new one. Getting 6 million for him now is much better than letting him leave for free next summer.

He will be the main man Villa look to for goals, and he will probably score a lot of them. No matter how well he does, it was the right decision to let him go.

All he ever wanted at Liverpool was an occasional pass in from the wings, like a bone thrown to dogs. He's best at scavenging in the box. Villa will throw him bones.

I think baros would be more effective in the Spanish league, but if he wans to stay in england, theres nothing we can do about it.Good luck baros!

He could do very well against some lower EPL sides.
*recalls him running through Crystal Palace last season*

*recalls him running through Crystal Palace last season*I'll wish the guy luck!
But for all you guys with short memories, most of what I remember is, him running madly at the corner flag while looking at his boot laces.

That just shows what kind of strikers we had.
Morientes and cisse need to work harder then any season they have played in,because we need goals from the strikers,
yes strikers-score goals.
Liverpool are to over-reliant on the mid field to score goals so we best style up.
I wish Milan Baros all the success at Villa, although I had wished he stayed abit longer cause I certainly feel he is very talented, but liverpool was not the place for him.

Well, that's because Baros will be the main strike option at Villa, and will naturally score alot of goals. Andy Johnson was the second highest scorer in the EPL last season. Does that mean he's the second best striker in the EPL? ******** no.

Could you imagine trying to sell him in January after half a season and only (guesstimet) 5 goals but at least 100 headless chicken runs in to the box then losing the ball.

You know, I am stunned to see that some rags are saying that if Owen were to arrive, Cisse would be the one to go instead of Morientes. It seems from my view, Cisse has done far more, is coming off a huge, huge injury, and is STILL impressing more than Morientes. Not only that but Cisse really seems committed to Liverpool. Is anyone else upset by this?

I agree with the sentiment, but I think most believe its rubbish and aren't worried about him leaving.
