For future buying reference, does it really make a difference if i get sg or fg cleats? I play on turf and grass fields and we do get rain sometimes , but not all year long?
Personally, sg always looks cooler than fg.

ya... sg does look cooler... but fg can go both ways... and is great both ways, whereas sg is a bad idea on harder pitches... u wont dig in and it may be uncomfortable...
i'd go w/ fg

i always wear fg, but i always have a pair of sg's handy. THe best thing to do is look for sales of last years models that are sg cleats. you wont use them very much unless you play on very very nice pitches like the EPL. I just think its a good idea to own a pair.

You could possibly go for a mixed sole, ive got some copa mundial's mixed and i can wear those rain or shine.

If I had to buy one pair of boots they'd be FG. Ideally something like the Adidas traxion because those blades are long enough to be good on SG, and short enough to be good for FG.

I don't really know why but I noticed that many pros in EPL, La Liga etc. wear SG even on absolutely perfect and dry emerald fields. Why would they do it?

if you're playing mainly on turf fields, and sometimes on grass, it will probably best suit you to buy fg boots. sg won't really work to their full potential on turf, and you can also hurt your back I believe from wearing them on improper surfaces.
but also look for sales, as previously mentioned. you can always just pick up a cheap pair of sg's just in case it rains, and get a better pair of fg boots, especially if it doesn't really rain frequently.

I only buy FG and i will wear them in the rain too, i dont mind not having SG even though i have considered buying a pair b4, but i would say that it would prolly be worth it to buy a pair of SG boots on sale, seeing as you prolly wont wear them too much...
Right now, if your looking into SG boots, i would suggest the first f-50's b/c most companies have the prices between 50 and 80$ American...
