Talk of Earthquakes moving to Houston is revived-Mercury News (http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/soccer/12432732.htm)But a private group has submitted a proposal to the county this week that calls for the Astrodome to be turned into a 1,200-room hotel and entertainment complex without the use of public funds. The attractiveness of the proposal makes it unlikely the Astrodome would be available as a soccer stadium next season, Luck said.Good follow-up to the Club America situation...and perhaps it eliminates at least one option. :)

Interesting take on things....

"Tuesday's friendly may be an added burden on players, but it's nothing less than a watershed mark for a league desperate for international respect. Commissioner Don Garber and Deputy Commissioner Ivan Gazidis will make the trip to meet with Real Madrid's top brass. League spokesman Dan Courtemanche said Friday "there's an ongoing dialogue" between the two sides, adding Real Madrid "sees the league as a great opportunity to expand its brand."

and BTW, if anyone saw Messi's play....the kid did not even touch the opposing player.... it was an awful red card.....

OK so if Miami gets a team owned by Real Madrid they will be named...? That ought to be a really sticky situation if it ever develops.

Any word on the English broadcast of the US v MEX game. I rather listen to it in English cuz the Spanish announcers are too biased.
