Awful. Made even more painful by having to listen to the LAG announcers.

we deserved to lose this game. We just didn't show up second half.

We were taken out of the game by piss poor officiating and a deadly crossbar.

What was up with the turf? You are supposed to wet the field, not drown it.
No fire out there, no desire. That was a preformance you would expect from Columbus or the Scum, not DC United.

Can't remember ever being more embarrassed as a DCU fan. No one loses to LA at home

Horrible second half. Wilson and Walker were useless. No energy, poor crosses, and no desire shown whatsoever. Namoff's yellows (both of them) were about as bullsh!t as it gets in terms of pathetic refereeing. Seriously, Marufo was terrible in terms of calling fouls and let LA get away with way too much shirt-pulling and diving. Just a ridiculous game to watch all around.

They looked really tired and it doesn't get any better for us the next couple of weeks. Need to suck it up and play.

The one night I figure I'd just follow the PbP thread....
This confirms what I've always suspected.
I HAVE to watch each and every single DC United match, or we'll lose.

Well, that sucked. Peter should ream them out, then put it behind them and get on with the future.

1st page :(
For weeks its seemed like we werent capable of putting in a performance like that...fantasy over, I guess.
Didn't take care of the ball, too many careless giveaways, and just plain listless - very Columbesque - and what was up with that second yellow??? Right, like he kicked it away cuz he was trying to waste time while being down a goal in injury time, c'mon ref....

we played like my hs jv team, we won one game that season, russ thaler said piotr lit up the team at half time, so i'm guessing he'll keep the fire burning til it gets cherry and starts smoking the players, he was pissed off in the 60th for the on camera interview, and even admitted to being disappointed with the team, still i don't know about the gros substitution, n then again, who r u gonna take off??

That sucked.
Rough night for Boswell. Own goal and a free kick that wasn't going in taking the deflection off his head and looping under the bar.
Moreno should have had three tonight, but hit the bar in stoppage time and had a beautiful goal wrongly called back for offside.
Crap happens in a season, time to put it behind them and take it out on Dallas Wednesday.

Flat flat flat. Particularly our backline.
This was a game in which we missed Freddy. LA seemed to sit back- their defense I'm talking about here- all night, not allowing us much space at all to get behind them. So we needed more options in dribbling and quick touches. We needed Freddy again. Benny would have helped in this game too. Dema was pretty awful.
Ugh. I hate watching the team play that way.

Pretty darn ugly. Slow motion for the most part. The field was slow indeed but United only highlighted that. Jaime looked very slow tonight. Gomez was good, I like Wilson that far up on the left. Not much positive in this though. Take it and move on.

So true! This is indeed where Freddy comes in handy. This would have been his game to step it up.

This is also the type of game that makes me hate playing in mid-summer. So much walking and saving energy.

Look at it this way, Now we might get to see Erpen play vs. New England.... Donvan killed us he had a good game, unlike Jaime, and Quaranta. We took out Gros that was a dumb mistake. Gomez went the full 90 and left it all on the field. This is the time that we now wish for Adu to make a speedy recovery, cause we could sure use him off the bench or even as a starter.

I'll 4th it...we really could have used Adu tonight.
