Cardozo. Why? Because I've watched him play and the kind of crap he pulls would leave El Pescadito feeling like an U12 kid who just met his soccer idol. Ruiz is a good finisher. Cardozo is a good finisher who can take players on in the box. He seems faster, too.

Oh, and slight gust of wind won't send Cardozo to the ground as easily as it would Ruiz.

Do you mean league or nation? Cause i don't think MLS or the MFL have any players in Europe.

No one like him, no words to explain what he does, it speaks by itself.

Hey guys my parents are chapines and i think that right now, Cardozo is better. Mexican league is better but only cause it has more money to buy better south american players. But Cardozo is in his 30's and Ruiz in early 20's.. Lets see tonight how Pescado does tonight against Mexico. i think Ruiz will end up being better than Cardozo but right now he isn't. But Ruiz is more Valueable to Guatemala than Cardozo to Paraguay.

Yeah cause Guatemala dont got too many skilled players or players that stand out..altought Plata seems to be doing pretty well, Paraguay has tons like Santa Cruz, Gamarra, Cuevas, Barreiro. But yea Cardozo is better 4sure

That's just one series.. If you want the entire story it is in the MLS's favor in the last 3-4 years..and it was pretty even before that..

This was a team in it's first year..
Wednesday, June 12, 1996
San Jose Clash 2 vs.UNAM Pumas (Mexico) 1

Sunday, July 6, 1997
Los Angeles Galaxy 1 vs. Guadalajara (Mexico) 0

Wednesday, July 30, 1997
Los Angeles Galaxy 4 vs. Santos Laguna (Mexico) 1

A series of draws early in MLS history:

Tuesday, September 16, 1997
Kansas City Wizards 1 vs. Veracruz (Mexico) 1

Friday, November 7, 1997
San Jose Clash 1 vs. Atlas (Mexico) 1

Wednesday, November 12, 1997
Los Angeles Galaxy 1 vs. Atlante (Mexico) 1

Dallas gets creamed:
Friday, July 11, 1997

Dallas Burn 0 vs. Guadalajara (Mexico) 5

This was in Mexico:
Tuesday, March 7, 2000

New England Revolution 7 vs. Atlas (Mexico) 1

Including our version of the Champions League.. In the first years of MLS, 1996 - 2000..
Against Mexican teams:
MLS: 14 wins
MFL 12 wins
8 Draws.. Now friendlies or not (not all were) for a new league to have a record like that is an indication of something.. At least of a competative league..In 7-10 years, tops, I would expect no one would pick the MFL as stronger than MLS, if the improvement continues. Look what's occurring with Mexico's youth teams.. They are not getting out of the region anymore.. The US youth players are winning silver and bronze boots and balls at tourney finals..

Most if not all those games were played in the U.S.

Hey guys, something we must note that cardozo got to his prime in his 30's, Fish is only 24 or 25, something like that. I still don't think we have seen the best of the Fish. Not by a long shot.

Oh God. I don't even know why I jump into these frontpage poor excuse for debates.

Cardozo is my most hated player in the Mexican league but he is byfar superior to any MLS striker, most notably one Carlos Ruiz.

I can't believe mr. LatinPride would go as far as saying Cardozo isn't valuable to his national team.

Has anyone been watching the CONMBEOL qualifiers?

Did anyone watch the Olympics?

I don't know but this stuff about MLS is really annoying.

Wake up, people.

Please?
