How long does it take to take the SEPTA (sp?) to Trenton then onto either Newark or NY?
Also how much?
My brother who works here wants to move to philly and I was just wondering if anyone had any idea.
Also do you know anyone who does this commute and what their experiences are.

7 bucks to trenton...from suburban, market or 30th st.
then it's 10-15 from trenton to penn station depending on whether it's peak or not.
Septa sucks in case you haven't heard.

My fiance moved from Philly to Hoboken, she takes the train every week. Send me a PM and I'll give you all the details.

It's $30 with the off-peak round trip discount. I don't know how much it costs one-way during rush hour but I am sure there are week/month passes that bring the cost down.
As for time, it's about 45 minutes from Philly to Trenton and an hour and a half from Trenton to NYC on local trains. As for the time in between it depends on whether you hit the connection right, it can vary wildly. Sometimes if one train arrives within five minutes of the other departing they hold the departure for people to chance. And sometimes they don't. It's still far cheaper than Amtrak though.
