quick question ? when is Jean-Alain Boumsong ,Mathieu Bodmer,Anderson Cléber Beraldo coming back into the squad for Lyon and whats wrong with those players? some info about that are they sick? hurt? how long are they out for?JAB was announced out for a month with tendinitis (adductors) well over a month ago and started running just before the sochaux match. there were questions as to whether he could go to liverpool but it would have been daft to have that as his first match back. bodmer is on a similar track but not as far along; his injury came against TFC end of september. a new operation has been deemed unnecessary and he should start running this week. cleber anderson, whose ankle was operated on at the beginning of the season is sur le billard again for a shoulder problem; both nagging injuries brought back from brazil. but he had been practicing full tilt in the first half of october and still didn't get to suit up so i don't think he's the player puel finds the most cruelly lacking.

Michel Bastos gets a call up from Dunga for their friendlies when les bleus play Ireland.

That's awesome for Bastos. Hopefully he can impress enough to make it into their WC squad. Though it's interesting that he got his call up after Nice, where he came on as a second half sub to replace Cissokho at LB.
If I were Ederson, I'd be feeling a bit bitter, though Ederson hasn't been that impressive recently.

This is better posted in this thread. So, do you think Toulalan is sick of playing centerback, or just sick Puel? I'm leaning towards frustration at playing out of position, but I'm ruling out any Puel hate, he's on my list too.

but I'm [not] ruling out any Puel hate?
the words on paper sound more like good-natured joshing, if it had been in practice there would have been no doubt that's what it was. during a match you don't expect kidding around but the real issue would be: did toulalan keep dribbling and disobey his coach or did he follow instructions?
puel doesn't get chummy with his players but that's probably how jeremy prefers it, he's not a big hugger either.
he doesn't like playing CB but is adult and professional enough to realize there's no other solution at the moment.
it's a non-story among non-stories imo.

this on maxifoot:
kool shen, co-founder of the grandaddy of french rap, NTM, will advertise his new album on our jerseys for the OM match.
hopefully the graphics will be soigné. and if they're smart, OLstore will turn out replicas, they should sell like hotcakes. the fact that this is being done for the OM match is significant too; i'd imagine he's a PSG fan himself, but his fans would certainly tend to be more OM than OL.

Yea I saw this the other day and forgot to post about it. It doesn't set will with me for some reason. I don't know why exactly. I just think it's ridiculous, and I love rap music.
And yea, I did mean, I'm not ruling out Puel hate.

I think it's really stupid that Lyon are advertising some rap CD on their kits. It'd be one thing if it were a charity organization, but this is just embarrassing. I mean, I'm sure OL will make a bit of money, not just from the kit sales but also the agreement with the production company, but it doesn't seem like a classy thing to do.

if i understand correctly (never more than a long shot) OL doesn't get anything from it, or perhaps even have a say in the matter; that space belongs to betclic and any deal made is theirs.

Yea now that I've seen it, i hate it even more. It would have been marginally better if it was just Kool Shen's name and album title. We don't need to know it's on the shelves now, they turned our kit into a flyer.

Cissokho was called up for Les Bleus. I'm so thrilled for him, he's wanted it for a long time. :)

Cissokho was called up for Les Bleus. I'm so thrilled for him, he's wanted it for a long time. :)i'm jazzed about it too, he really deserves it... i was afraid his lackluster performance against liverpool would jinx him (domenech was at gerland), happily not.
