Is Tiago as good as Essien ?

No but he's a very technical player, a bit like Juninho and he's a starter in his NT, I believe. He should adapt quite well with all the brazilians playing at Lyon (they speak portuguese so he won't feel too isolated).

Now with Nilmar being sent to Brazil they will HAVE to sign another forward. Wont be Baros because that idiot rather stay in England.

i hope this helps:

http://www.mistersport.com/

they ship to the USA acc to a pulldown menu for shipping addresses.

and this site won't help you with OL but it's cool anyway. i bought the lad this one from them...

Why is that your ideal group? I don't know much about how the draw is set up, but I'd be hoping for Liverpool, Olympiakos, and FC Thoune. ;)

what i don't want are teams that play for 0-0 and hope for luck. also don't want butcher's boys that may knock players out.

wide open games are just the ticket for OL. i added rosenborg for sentimental reasons: carew played there, and my son's first time at gerland was an OL-RFK (5-0)

Looks like we each got one right. ;)

Good points, though. Better to play tough teams from the get go and be prepared for the elimination rounds.

Tis a good draw for me Lyon me thinks.

Olympiakos and Rosenborg are crap travellers BUT at home they are tough.

A trip to Trondheim is something no-one will be relishing.

Playing Real Madrid's great ! Aulas dreamed about it.
It really is a good draw, the perfect draw would have been almost the same, except maybe for the "pot 3" team which could have been weaker than Olympiakos.
Bruges instead would have been even better, but let's not be choosy ! :p

Still waiting to know where this "international quality attacker" is gonna come from. No Baros and Owen is going to go to Liverpool or Newcastle. I'm sorry but if you want to take on the likes of Real Madrid and win then Carew, Wiltord, and Frau as your forwards is not gonna get it done. You need another quality guy in there. Cisse would be great but thats a pipe dream.

I dont think we need a "World Class" Striker. I think we have the players who can play well together and that is more important I think. I'd rather have a team who plays good team tatics over one stud who thinks he is everything and tries to carry the club on his back.

SportBoy333

I'm not saying he has to be a stud or world class(they cant attract those kind of players anyway)I'm saying he has to be of good quality and they do need an extra forward. Baros would have been great and realisitc but we know how that turned out. I dont think Carew has proved he can score against quality teams in the Champions League yet has he. He can score against Ligue 1 teams consistanly but against Real Madird thats another level. Lets not forget what he did or didnt do at Valenica and Roma also. They need another forward and one who has a reputation as a goal scorer. Carew and Wiltord are not the fastest guys out there they need a guy with blazing speed. Nilmar had that and I question that move of getting rid of him. Me personally I would have kept Nilmar and gotten rid of Frau instead. Carew, Wiltord, and Frau is fine if you wanna win Ligue 1 but we know they wanna go further than that. Essien is gone fine they have Tiago now but I'm still not sold on Pedretti. He can not be a starter all the time if this team is to win in Europe.

Cisse would be a great fit with us. We could use his pace to go along with Carew's strength and aerial ability. I can picture Juninho slipping through passes and long balls to Cisse on the counter...
