Huh, 50% is enough to keep a relationship going for years. How could you give a girl more than that after only 2 weeks, that's barely enough time to know someone's favorite color. What ever happened to taking it slow and getting to know someone?
On the other hand, strategically, sending mixed signals and letting a girl know that they aren't that important to you is a good way to get them hooked. So you can always go back later and likely have a stronger hand.
Jeez, next we'll be setting up a damm relationship page and having our own Agony Aunt/Uncle...........

Just trying to help a fellow Gooner, Rick. You do it with tickets, I do it with unsolicited advice on women (lots of experience) and relationships (limited experience). ;) :D

Believe me, Rick, I know how you feel. I just f-d up a potential relationship because I can't shake this feeling that things aren't really over with my ex.

Being single is so easy! Dealing with a relationship is the tough part. My advice would be not to look for a relationship. Enjoy being single, get out and do the stuff that you couldn't do before. You're free! Now you have the chance to hook up with lots of different girls, what could be better than that?

Maybe, Ive generally been in long term relationships (3) so kind of like the stability etc etc. Plus to be fair there wasn't much I didn't do before.......
In one hand I wish things wern't over with my ex........but now I know certain stuff I'm glad the are.......Still difficult. Plus living on your own is fcuking boring when you've never done it before!!

Don't confuse a relationship with stability. ;)
And being single is whatever you make it, once you get used to lacking the security blanket factor of always having someone there, its fine. I haven't had a serious girlfriend for a few years, but unless i feel i that they are someone who i might want to marry someday, i don't let things get serious. Lately though, i've been seeing a girl who i'm really starting to like alot. But i'm still taking it slow, i told her a few weeks ago if she wanted me to be her boyfriend that it was up to her to convince me that i need her. To her credit, she's been doing a really good job of convincing me. :)

Finally I'm back, I've missed this place but have generally been to knackered to log on. I can't recommend missing this place for three weeks.
Ian: great news.
Rick: sorry to hear the news, but being single does have advantages.
Cam: great post about titles. Are there pictures of the fooking great thing?
And I'd like to suggest Cool Nudes Say "Up the Arse" as the next title.

It sucks when you get out of a long term relationship. The worst part is that you lose "guranteed sex". That feeling when your on the subway and you know your getting some when you get home.
I dont know if this counts as long term but I went out with this girl in my building for 8 months. It was great and I think I was in love, we were like practically married cause she was always at my place.
So one night we had this big fight about something stupid, I knew I was wrong but I didnt apologise because she was blowing it way out of proportion. She just kept on getting pissed and so was I. She was like threating me with breaking up so Im like "fine, leave" and practically slammed the door in her face.
Normally when people in a relationship have a fight you know will make up somewhere in the back of your mind. I didnt have that feeling her. So me and one of my buddies got drunk (as we usually did on the weekends). So knocks on my door at like 2 am and shes piss drunk herself. And She stayed the night.
I thought we worked everything out but when I woke up the next there was a note on my pillow saying how last night was mistake and were better off apart. So basically it ended there.
It really sucked because Its not like I would never see her again, she still lived in my building. Every time I was around her I would get this weird feeling so I would try to avoid her by taking the stairs. It was even worse when I saw her with other guys.
Anyways about 2 months after we broke up she moved out, and when she did. It was like weight was lifted. I didnt have to worry about running into her again and feeling that aukwardness. And foot tasted better as well. :D

You should see their street interviews after the game.
"This was my best day in 8 years...as good as winning the league...we deserved the win"
I see it a bit different. Despite having a subs bench that cost more than our entire squad, despite our losing "irreplaceable" Captain Vieira this summer, despite losing one of our best players to an early injury, despite playing in their house, we were only beaten on a dodgy offside goal from a failed Drogba attempt to control the ball. Really "massive", right Lampard?
