A really neat city for your Southern tour would be Memphis, for one, their is enough stuff to do to actually entertain you for more than a day. There is (in two weeks) gonna be a footie bar.

Its an easy drive from Arkansas, if you must see some of the old south.

We could drive down rural highways and listent to Johnny Cash.

AND you can tour Graceland so you can pay your respects to the KING! :)

true! I'm actually not an Elvis fan. I sort of like the theory Steph pointed out...you're either a Beatles fan or an Elvis fan...and I am a HUGE Beatles fan.

I'm a Rolling Stones fan. I never listen to Elvis or the Beatles. Explain that with your little theory, Ash.

Malboro or Camel, but I never really bought packs.

Theres a store in my bulding and guy usually sells me them individually for 50 cents. Its a rip off but Its better then smoking full packs.

well it's actually Steph's husband's theory. so i'm not sure. I suspect at the heart of it he's trying to tell her that he doesn't want to go on the beatles tour in london. :)

I thought the old saw was that you were either a Beatles or a Rolling Stones person? I could be wrong though.

I'm definitely a Beatles person.....only a couple of Stones songs appeal to me.

a band is a group of people who write music and then play it...... some better than others...........no one better than the beatles

Karaoke is when you sing to music being played in the background that was written by............whats the word I'm looking for........musicians. Elvis was a fine karaoke singer. ;)

Next time you're at a party, throw on a Beatles record, and watch the fun grind to a halt. Then try the same with the Stones. I'm not trying to say that the Beatles didn't make great music, they did. Its just not any fun, really.

huge Beatles fan. funny you mention putting on there music at parties because at my last night at college I had a party at my apartment. It was the night before I left for England for the Beatles class I took, and in the spirit of the occasion I played two songs from each Beatles album in a row and I was shocked to see everyone liking the tunes. You are right, its not good party music. Not the biggest Stones fan, but I love "Exile on Main St" and some of the older Stones stuff.

"Sticky Fingers" is my favorite Stones record. But they have a bunch of great tunes spread over a number of albums from the early 60's to the late 70's, when they began sucking pretty bad.

All at the same time. God, how I love it! The Beatles made some nice music, but they just never captured that raw edge that put the Stones on another level. Zeppelin is up there too!

In my opinion, alot of the Beatles music sounds terribly dated. While alot of Stones stuff still sounds contemporary. The Stones also deal with themes that are still common in modern music and society, i was listening to "Heartbreaker" the other day, besides being a rocking tune, it talks about black kids getting shot by cops and kids killing themselves shooting dope. Could have been made yesterday.

Didn't Andy Warhol design that cover?I think you're right. I had completely forgotten that. Thanks. Great album. I always thought Exile, Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers were their best.

I'd add Goats Head Soup to that list.
