I'm outta here in a few, but i thought i'd post these Descendents lyrics:

PEP TALK

It's not the end of the world
Since your baby left you
It's gonna be okay
You don't need her anyway

You're looking around for someone to love
So you don't have to face the world alone
But give it some time and you might find
That you're better off on you own
Cause you could be dead right now
You could be the stupidest thing in the world
But you're not, look at what you've got
And stop thinking about that girl

You deserve the best, but it's up to you to get it
don't settle for less, you know you're gonna regret it

It's not the end of the world
Since your baby left you
It's gonna be okay
You don't need her anyway

Watching the tube, moping around
Might as well be six feet underground
You're watching the game go by
Waiting for the final score
You got the beer commercials memorized
So you've probably heard this before
But this ain't the TV talking to you
It's a friend who's gonna tell you what you can do

You deserve the best, but it's up to you to get it
don't settle for less, you're the best and don't you forget it

I know what you're thinking ... you'll never find another
And even if you did, well, you couldn't love her
But out there somewhere is the person, place or thing
That you need to make you believe in you

It's not the end of the world
Since your baby left you
It's gonna be okay
You can find something better anyway

Just take your time. and you will find
What your life requires
Just take your time. and you will find
What your heart desires
Just take your time. and you will find
You will find

*puts on bullet proof vest*

don't shoot; I have never heard the Descendents.

*backs away slowly*

what's their best album, IYO.
Really, all of them are great,i really couldn't pick one. If you want to check them out "Somery" is a good greatest hits collection. Liveage is a great live record with a bunch of classic songs.

Ive barely heard of any of these bands you guys talk about, and how do you guys even find out about these bands? Ive definately got to get some pointers from gunnerphan and embrace the live music scene in nyc unlike i did last year.

For e.g what would be your guys current playlist that you put on your ipod/mp3 player when you leave the house?

I listen to pretty much whatever is on the radio as i rarely come across much else.

Wow, this sounds bad. I think an intervention is in order. Rick, since we would not want you to go to the games alone, I will volunteer to go to the games with you. I know...it's a sacrifice...I am just THAT nice. ;)

Wow Ash, your sacrifice just melts my heart. I can't believe anyone would be that nice and give up that much......................... :p

Here in CC, there isn't too much of a scene, but we get a few decent acts through here. 311 is going to be here the day after my b-day, so Leigh and I are going out on the town! Chevelle is also coming, but I have to go to a bachelor party that weekend. I have been wanting to see these guys for awhile. Really like their stuff.

Descendants- "Pep Talk", "Sour Grapes"

WOW! GOOD ONE!
Haven't heard that for ages. Personally, I think I would go with Clean sheets but that is just me.

Welcome to der Weinerschnitzel, may I take your order please?

Cool!!! Do you have the song that goes:

'Scuse me while I light my spliff, spliff

I have been trying to find which album it is on for years! I had Natty Dread, Uprising, Survivor, and Babylon by Bus, but no luck.

Cheers GP!

a) Holy s***! Is Rick really just 26 yo? Based on that election hoopla I was assuming in the 40's! :p My bad, Rick. 'Course, I haven't known you as long as many of our friends here.

And to play fair, I'll confess to being thirtyapfdjsiherg;oeri;gnoergn....

(Hmmm. Keyboard problems? :D )

b) Mind if my version features Morrison's "Bright Side of the Road;" I just prefer that song to "Brand New Day." Also feeling like there should be some Elvis Costello... maybe "God Give me Strength?"

c) Goon morning, everyone. Humid enough for ya?
