Really? it doesn't bore me. I just count laps and strokes in my head to keep busy. That and glare at the parents who let their little brats get in my way when i'm swimming. :D

ditto...now if only I could use my iPod in the pool.....:D

do you go to a private pool anti? I love swimming but don't want to swim at the NYC publics...nasty!

swimming along bores me. even counting laps and strokes doesn't help. If i have a radio blasting its fine because I can get a good song in my head between reps and sets. In college we had to practice on our own during finals week and it killed me.

c) i agree the fix is better

d) Yeah, it really bugs me. Just wasn't interested at Newcastle. I'm probably going to go to most of the home matchs but I think I'm going to give a lot of the away games a miss this season.

Maybe the 5 man mid, 10 men behind the ball action is what did it for you at Newcastle:p

*gp ponders if he should work on a break up version of "Phan's Choice" in order to further the healing process of his phellow broken hearted gooners*

My apartment has a nice sized heated lap pool, during the winter i pretty much have it to myself. This summer has been a bitch though, everybody has there kids down there, while there is a kiddie pool about 150 feet away. It really bugs me. When i'm working out, i really like to focus and any distractions throw me off and frustrate me. This is both good and bad, when other people are distracting me i can't work out for as long because its too irritating, on the other hand i get angry and work out alot harder than i usually do. Another one of my many quirks. :)

If you do, please include Sam Kinison's version of "Wild Thing", i heard that after my first heartbreak and was rolling on the floor laughing. I'd heard it before that, but never really got what he was talking about.

Damien Rice has some good sad bastard songs

"I Remember" is a great song to listen to after a breakup or something, but you have to stomach the lovey dovey beginning to make it to the pissed off ending

I completly agree. The past two seasons I went to every away game with her and most home games. Really and truely I just don't feel like going to the football at the moment. Nothing it seems can distract me for longer than a couple of hours at the moment. But I have the same stupid feeling I "should" be with someone. Most of my friends are and I feel Im old at 26. Crazy, utterly crazy.

Don't worry Rick, Steph, Ash, Coach, and I will keep your mind off things in 2 months! Also, if you feel old at 26, you'll feel ancient after we get through with you! At least your liver will be older!;)

But really, you're young Rick and you will get it all sorted out soon. Chin up!!

sounds "transitional"....could be good at the end of disc 1: the breakup

a good lead into disc 2: the comeback

:D

When you are angry at a chick, a little Pantera "This Love" does the trick!

Also, never put on goggles in a public pool. You see WAY to much that doesn't need to be seen!!

Hey, I'm 25 and feel like I'm about 40 most days.

Seriously, though, you need to find something regularly to do. Anti's right about working out. I try to go to the gym three to four days a week (though I usually do about half of that), and I walk to and from work every day while carting around my gigantic laptop. Usually, after getting back from the gym, I feel a lot better about things. I would also recommend forcing yourself to go out on the weekends. I know it sux at first, and you're bound to see some lovey-dovey couple smooching, but it's the only way to get back into a regular routine.

And of course, the other thing that could make you feel a lot better is getting season tickets in the West Ham visitors end and screaming at the ********ing ******** who plays for them. I believe that's called "focusing your rage"! :D

Jeez, i'm actually having a tough time with this. The Descendents (greatest band ever) are the only ones i can think of who dealt with the subject of ex girlfriends in an uplifting positive manner. I could make a whole cd of just their ex related songs. I just busted out my CD's now and i'm giving them a listen, its been too long.

Descendants songs on topic (roughly):

Pep Talk
Sour Grapes
Wendy
Catalina
Clean Sheets
Ace
Bikeage
Hope
My World

so many more, where the ******** are the rest of my Descendents albums?
