10 years, wow. I thought I had it rough with 7. The part that I'm struggling with is two-fold. You know how some people just feel like "home"? That's how I felt with my ex, and still feel that way when I'm around her today. I know that I should spend less time with her, but it just feels safe & calm when I'm with her, like "home."

The other thing is that despite what everyone says, I suddenly feel like I'm old. It never was an issue before, because it didn't seem like a race against time. Now, I have this strange sensation to hurry up and find someone, whether it be my ex, or someone new. At the same time, I know that I should take more time to just be by myself, as this most recent delve into the dating world proved.

My head and my heart are both just really ********ed right now, and stuff that used to distract me (Arsenal, books, music, movies) don't do the trick like they used to.
Have you forgotten how much fun it is owning a new home? ;) :D

I completly agree. The past two seasons I went to every away game with her and most home games. Really and truely I just don't feel like going to the football at the moment. Nothing it seems can distract me for longer than a couple of hours at the moment. But I have the same stupid feeling I "should" be with someone. Most of my friends are and I feel Im old at 26. Crazy, utterly crazy.

Sounds like a plan!! Just glad the footy season is back - though not happy with a 2 and a half week break so early!!!! Now Im so looking forward to the CL draw on Thursday - come on some tiny Eastern European team!! :D

I'm still hoping that Brondy qualifies and then are drawn in the same group as Arsenal. It'd give me a chance to see Arsenal live fairly cheap and then as a bonus laughing repeatedly at Brondy everytime they get thrashed by a decent European team.

Did your ex have any cute friends? If so, i recommend sleeping with one of them. This can bring a real sense of closure to a relationship. ;) :D

See, that doesn't work as well as everyone says it does. It just made me miss my ex more... groan.

Rick - You and I definitely have to have some drinks when I come over/you come over here!

Just stress yourself out over something else like work, or something else where not giving your full attention could hurt you - do that long enough and you will start forgetting.

At least you tried! :D

Seriously though, both of you guys sound depressed. My advice is start working out on a regular basis. Get at least 45 minutes of excercise every day, even if its just a brisk walk. The more you do it the better you'll feel. You'll also look better and feel more confident, which will attract more chicks. Trust me, i started working out regularly less than a year ago, and recently, every girl i meet is all over me. I'm telling you guys, you can either hit the gym and come back strong or else just wallow in misery for a few years and hope that some girl feels sorry for you. Take your pick.

yeah...something tells me him and feej are the "playa's" of the OT.

all I can think of right now is:

a. Anti is absolutely correct

b. how much "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" is appropriate right now

c. how much more appropriate your post is, Deep, since I phixed it for you...;)

d. it concerns me Rick alluded to not really being into football right now...thanks for ruining AW's team spirit, Rick  ;)

hmmmm....I really don't believe I do. In fact, I can't recall ever seeing a torrent of his. I'll keep my eye out though. Anything other bands/artists your thinking of? :)

Nah she doesn't. They are either ugly or taken.

Sounds good Mike. When you come over I'll arrange a few drinks out in London.

c) i agree the fix is better

d) Yeah, it really bugs me. Just wasn't interested at Newcastle. I'm probably going to go to most of the home matchs but I think I'm going to give a lot of the away games a miss this season.

Really? it doesn't bore me. I just count laps and strokes in my head to keep busy. That and glare at the parents who let their little brats get in my way when i'm swimming. :D

Wow, this sounds bad. I think an intervention is in order. Rick, since we would not want you to go to the games alone, I will volunteer to go to the games with you. I know...it's a sacrifice...I am just THAT nice. ;)
