3rd Degree is reporting that Ronnie O'Brien has confirmed that Moreno will be DC representative to Madrid. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233906

Not really. Adu will be close to coming back, and we've already shown we can manage without him. I doubt FCD can say the same thing about ROB.

It would have been worse if they had taken Gomez. Adu, our primary backup at amid, is still recovering from injury. Walker and Q have played a game together against Chivas, so at least we know they can get the job done. Dallas definitely is in a worse position than we are.

I wish we didn't have to send anyone to this stupid game, but this one shouldn't hurt us too badly, mainly for the reasons already expressed. Dallas will be in much worse shape, and that's what matters.

If you said to me you could take one player from Dallas in exchange for playing without Moreno, and I got to pick which player it was, I'd damn sure take O'Brien away from them.

I think we're better off without Jaime than they are sans O'Brien so I think this works out well for DCU in terms of the Open Cup.

Absolutely. I was afraid they were going to take Bozilla away from us. That would have been the biggest blow.

This shouldn't be too bad. Jaime flies over, plays the game at his 2002 level, and flies back none the worse for the wear. :D

Hey I say for one of the league's top goal scorers, congrats Jaime. Yeah I know its a big publicity thing for MLS but its more exposure for MLS and DCU, not to mention an honor Moreno deserves considering he didn't make the "All-Star team". That said, I think we will survive just fine.

I think we've finally "made it" as a league - we can finally complain about sending over our top players to a meaningless friendly in Europe during the middle of the season.

When first read the title of thi post, I thought Moreno was being signed by Real Madrid. Bandido, malvado, chico malo, borrachon.

Enough about comparisons with who Dallas is giving up

THIS JUST PLAIN SUCKS!!

We should refuse to send him - He's not missing an "MLS" game - He's missing a "USSF" game

We can't refuse it, single entity remember? MLS owns his contract, not DCU.
