I guess this rules out for all time a potential site for the SE pickup games . . .
Seriously, for DCU it may not mean anything. Or, it may mean they try to have more DCU friendlies and exhibitions up there, because they actually generate revenue.
Well, this was put together by the same yutz who put together the WUSA, is anyone surprised that it's tanking? Seriously?

I didn't know that.
I do know that charging youth teams $300.00 per game tom play there is not a sustainable model. That place is in some serious trouble.

If only I were that much of a yutz. Granted, some things haven't always worked out for him. But, then again, his successes are quite noteworthy.

Ch 9 just ran a piece on this issue...If they can get some more sponcers for the plex it will help.otherwise the county may have to step in and bail out some cash. They noted that the whole DC/Maryland/Va is hurting for places to play soccer...One bright spot for DC is that our future stadium/complex will provide much needed fields for the local youth!! That can be more added +'s to support the new stadium.
Added note: the 300 per game is payed for by local soccer gosthat pay up to $70 to join the leauge in the area...""Whether or not they ever play in the soccerplex!!""....

A successful model should involve beer sales!

Agree 100%...Maybe if they get real strapped for cash..and a good beer sponcer stepped in...well..heck..the money would be nice add income..too bad they dont see the logic in having a beer stand.
