I didn't see this anywhere else on the board. Steven Goff is scheduled to chat Friday at 2 PM.

Thanks for the heads-up. I would have missed it otherwise.
I sent my questions in.

This is going on now.
Section 204: Why is MLS pulling some of the best players to go play a meaningless game in Spain, when regular season and open cup matches are all going on? Stupid move in my opinion.
Steven Goff: Agreed.
But in the big picture, when your league has a chance to step into the spotlight with Real Madrid, you can't pass it up -- no matter what problems it causes.
The MLS roster will be announced today: Moreno and Rimando are on it.
Gah! I was OK with giving up Moreno. But Nicky, too? I understand that PERKINS is essentially the Cup keeper, but that's a lot of travel on the keeper before the New England match.
EDIT: Why the hell did I orininally put Warren in there? Stupid work must be getting in the way. :o

I'm trying to find the positives here. I guess it's better for us for it to be Nicky rather than a field player. Maybe the fatigue won't wear him down as much as it would another field player. I know Keller did this sort of travel a lot when the US had mid-week qualifiers and he seemed to do okay with it.
Dallas better have a second player going as well though.
Washington, D.C.: A couple of weeks ago, your preseason prediction for the EPL was that Chelsea would come in third (after ManU and Arsenal). Are you nuts? Can you explain yourself?
Steven Goff: Just call me "El Loco."
Lowecifer, was that your question? ;)

Never mind that, this would mean that he's not here for the USOC match against Dallas. If this is true, goddamn whoever set this up with MLS.

Wow, I got 4 questions answered (all under different locations, of course). I feel so smart... ;)
Either that or the rest of you weren't trying very hard!

My question and response:
Fredericksburg, Va.: United has been somewhat vague on the severity of Eskandarian's injury. What is Alecko's current condition, and how does his long-term recovery picture look?
Steven Goff: For those of you unaware, Eskandarian, United's top scorer last year, suffered a concussion in mid-June after taking a knee to the head from New England goalie Matt Reis. He has been unable to return to the pitch because of headaches and dizziness.
It's a VERY serious matter and the doctors won't let him back until he's fully healthy. Alecko has resumed working out on his own a bit, so perhaps we'll see him in a few weeks. However, he hasn't played a game in two months and it's going to take quite a while to get back into match fitness.
Basically, no great revalations here.

Lots of angry people asking questions on there.
And it's Perkins who'll likely be between the sticks in the USOC. Remember him? Not a bad goalie.

Nice chat except for the idiots who think Nicol's plotting some kind of conspiracy.
