United have three players on the shortlist .Rooney and ronaldo were expectd but dong fangzhou. can anyone tell me how many goals he scored in belgium last season
The 12 are: Javier Mascherano (Corinthians and Argentina), Wayne Rooney (Man Utd and England), Arjen Robben (Chelsea and Holland), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich and Germany), Robinho (Real Madrid and Brazil), Dong Fangzhou (Royal Antwerp/Man Utd and China), Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd and Portugal), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal and Spain), Rio Mavuba (Bordeaux and France), Giorgio Chiellini (Fiorentina and Italy), Obafemi Martins (Inter Milan and Nigeria), Freddy Adu (DC United and United States).

Robinho will get it, i bet ya (though i think Rooney should get it). and why the hell is Dong there i don't know.. did the FA pick these guys or did the players? :confused:

Rooney, Robben, Ronaldo or MArtins should win it, maybe cesc has a chance.

Just looked it up and found that Fangzhou scored 6 goals last season.

He doesn't deserve to be on this list. I'm guessing he's the best asian prospect.

I have to agree with you there ... I'm sorry but I just don't get all the fuss over Freddy. I've seen him play several times and while he does work hard, I just don't see this prodigee talent everyone keeps talking about.

well, he doesn't, but if he did... that'd be reason enough for me... our reserve team would whoop @ss in the MLS... guaranteed. In fact, they might go undefeated... the reserve team of last year anyway.

Who chose this shortlist of players anyway? When will the public voting start?
I am sure either Ronaldo or Rooney is going to win, given the huge publicity and fan base of the English Premier League and Manchester United all over the world. Robinho will probably come in at 3rd.
Adu is not even good enough for our reserve team. Let Chelsea have him.
I am going to vote for Ronaldo and Rooney like crazy

he slipped my mind as well... damn good player he's going to turn out to be. I think we should snatch him from Barca (won't happen and DFR will kill me, but unless they sell someone I don't see where he's going to play, I know that's not a right now problem, more like 2-3 years down the road).
