Just in case you've taped a soccer game that happened last night and decided to come to BigSoccer today I will type a few things so the result of said game will not be on ruined for you. Its the kind of guy I am.

-I ordered a southwestern rollup for lunch today. I have absolutely no idea whats in it....should be here soon.

-I will never ever purchase anything from a company that does pop up advertising on the internet. I have both corporate and Google pop up blockers and stuff still gets through

-If you coach a soccer team - have a scrimage once and a while and tell your kids to be as creative as possible during the scrimage - have them try new things

The "American's Don't Get It..." Article (http://www.rep-am.com/story.php?id=25933)

"No, America is too fickle," said Tom O'Connor of Alexandria, Va., when asked if this national team could turn U.S. fans on to soccer. "America wants to see Bling. There's no Bling in soccer. These are just hard-working guys."

O'Connor doesn't mind if America never catches on: "That means I get better seats."

WHAT? Are you serious? Have you seen Eddie Johnson lately? Have you seen Freddy Adu? Did you see Dempsey's flexin on US soccer?

PEOPLE, DON'T FEED THE DINOSAURS!

They're on the verge of extinction, giving them more sustinance will keep them around another day too long.

Freakin' Idiot! GOSH!

I think what he means is Americans think a 1-0 soccer game is dull but also complain about a 70-68 NBA game being low-scoring. Or it could be soccer wasn't invented here so a bunch of whiners think it's "un-American" and they tell you this while shooting a round of golf. Yes, golf, invented by that American guy Bogey Masters.

Oh wait, it's Scottish. My bad!

Football fans are idiots (http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,9753,1551650,00.html)

A very good article, which isn't all that applicable to MLS or situation in the US (except the Champions World tour of last 2 summers). Maybe it is more applicable to other mainstream sports leagues in the US, like MLB or NFL, I don't know. But it's still a very good read.

the LAST thing anyone needs to see is more of Dempsey stylin' and profilin'There should be more of this. There hasn't been anything all season that got as much airtime and media play as Dempsey's swing. The Fulham game was a National footnote by comparison.

You're just miffed because the best goal celebration MLS has seen in years was Dempsey's baseball swing in the baseball stadium in which your team plays their home games.

Get over it.

That was an awesome celebration. Let him do what he wants. US Soccer needs more personalities like Dempsey's.

Pizza eats barnackled pepperonis dancing on the pitch. Flying lollipops rain down like thunderclaps on backheel goal celebrations. Crowds swoon at the sight of fancied toe taps for banana pickled baloon men with soccer ball at helm.
