Hello everyone,

I will be visiting London for the first time in September and I really want to take in a match during my stay. I noticed that www.manutd.com says that the game is sold out but I'm hoping that someone may be able to provide information on alternative methods to obtain a single ticket. I'm not familiar with local customs so I do not know if there are "scalpers" (as they are called in Canada) who are at the ground on game day selling tickets.

Any information that you can provide on how I can obtain a ticket (without having to give up my first born) would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Matthew

Hmmmm, If you read it in English that does seem like his exact plan. Does a 200 mile trip when you're already crossing the Atlantic Ocean blow your mind?

I've also heard that if you contct United directly and tell them you're a supporter from America looking to attend a match they may be able to help you out.....

But there are others on these boards who can help more.....,

Is ignorance your major export? You assumed I did not know where Manchester was in relation to London.

I have a question for you. Are all Americans Cowboy hat wearing, gun carrying Red Necks?

Ignorance is bliss and I envy you.

I asked you a question just to make sure you realised and then helped give you information....What the ******** is your problem .......... That other guy was being a dick and I responded accordingly.... I don't see anyone else coming on here and helping you besides me.....I ask again what the ******** is your problem.....

My response was to your slandering of an entire nation just because someone made a comment you did not like, I don't know why, I didn't see anything harmless in his comment.

And if you look at my next post I thanked you. Lighten up man, you're wound up way too tight.

As has been said before, MUSCUSA are a great start, though you'd have to become a member first. Other than that, since its a major derby, you'd probably have to try a scalper (known as a tout there).

Thanks very much for the info. Hopefully i can secure a ticket before hand, but if not, I'll try a tout.

Try the geezers outside the front entrance, they always sell briefs.

Or you could try standing outside the metro platform saying 'any spares' as your fellow yanks walk past. ;)
