what if owen gets injured :confused: I'm sure sooner or later bayern will face a situation that there's no decent CB along side Lucio.
Maybe jeremies and ottl take CB and DM :p

Bayern still has time to buy a young CB from somewhere. Hopefully this injury scare will shake a few more euros out of the pocket of the FCB Board because our lack of depth at such a key position is shameful given our resources. We don't need a superstar just somebody who can fill in during an emergency and has a good upside. Any names?

I was afraid something like this will happen...No reason to panic....for the time being, Ismael and Lucio are both available....as is Owen for the DM spot.
I knew we should have kept Kuffour.......worse comes to worse, Ottl will have a chance to prove himself. I just hope Ismael and Lucio can contain themselfs until Demichelles comes back.

can't sleep... ;)... and thanks to this news, may as well make the coffee now.
Medically speaking, this blows!!! This guy is firmly cemented in the lineup and was a clear choice at CB when necessary. This situation will really prove what Ismael is worth, seeing that we now have only two centerbacks at present. This is exactly why we are were bitching for Munich to find another CB. Hopefully, that cat from the reserves (dude with the long name) will be of some promise.
D-mid position I am least worried about, as there are an abundance of "quick fix" solutions there, but Center Back? I shall say my prayers now... No need to panic? Okay, but we will see come October where we stand. I am a little sceptical on this one. A knee injury never takes just one month, unless it is a sprain. If this is truly ligament damage, then Demichelis will be out longer.
Has he joined the club fellas??

NOT a KNEE injury... thank God!!! I misinterpreted the original post.
Ankle injury... out 4 weeks... will miss CLS opener. This still sucks!!

I think Alex out of PSV would be a monster partnered with Lucio. That would be a choice acquisition for Bayern. I dont really follow the transfer type stuff, anyone know how much Alex would cost? If it too much would could always sell of an extra player *cough* Santa Cruz *cough* ;)

Well, maybe since we have about 342 midfielders, we could play a 3-5-2 for a week or two (that is, if Lucio or Ismael were injured).

you can forget about that. bayern donīt have 110 mil euros in the bank because they buy players after someone gets a 4 week injury.

There's nothing conservative about not having adequate cover in central defense. If Ishmael or Lucio should also go down in the next month, we could be looking at a crisis situation for our first two CL matches. That's gambling in my book, especially when they could use the depth irregardless of the current injury.
