Well, apparently there were some internationals played today. :) England got, um, embarassed 4-1. Calamity James and all. :p
On the positive side, Gallas scored to give France a 1-0 win over the Ivory Coast while Robben scored twice in a 2-2 draw with Germany.
Er, wait, not sure the France game is over. Whatever; they're friendlies.

Poland/Israel wasn't a friendly as such. It was the championship game as of a small tournament in Ukraine.
Russia and Latvia was a WCQ.

I often wonder why they bother with these games to be honest and what possible good they can hope to glean form them at this stage in the season. It would be better for the squad to just to meet up for a training session in my opinion. That said, what a ********ing shambles England are.

Ireland lost 2-1 to Italy.
Scotland drew 2-2 with Austria.
etc.
And this all proves nothing, or tells us anything about who is going to win the World Cup next summer.

I know, but since the thread was called Internationals, and there are posters on the Chelsea boards who would be interested in the result of both matches, i'd thought i would add to it.
The little tournament in Kiev is called Valeriy Lobanovskiy tournament.

Czech Republic lost to Sweden 2-1. I wonder if Cech was in goal for both goals.

How do I always end up in the Chelsea boards? :D
I seriously was just flipping through the new messages and came across this one. I'm so lucky no one's called me a troll yet being a Fulham supporter and all. :)

Yes, indeed, it did take a while, but eventually they found it.
In the back of the net.

I always wondered how it is for players to play against one another in friendlies or WCQ, and then next week, play against each other on the club level? Drogba vs. Henry
Or even weirder, to play on the same national team, but compete against one another at a club level. Drogba vs. Gallas
Example, Henry and Gallas both scored and probably congratulated each other, and in 3 days, Gallas will be covering Henry to make sure he doesn't score, while Henry will try to ran pass Gallas to score.
What i'm trying to say is, on emotional level, how does a player doesn't let national pride or club pride get in the way?

Yep. Come next month, they will be the first team from Europe to qualify for World Cup (except Germany).

If that's the case then Sven needs to get punched in the face. These midweek international friendlies have got to go. They serve no purpose but to injure players.

It seems like David James can only play well for Man Citeh against Chelsea.
Any news on Terry?
