on who Bruce thinks has done well.

--On which U.S. players have improved their standing the most this year: "Not a whole lot of them have eliminated themselves, which is a good sign. Certainly [injured right back] Steve Cherundolo. I think he's been fantastic. Oguchi Onyewu has been very good [at centerback]. And Eddie Lewis would be another." Arena noted that he wasn't including Brian McBride, Reyna, Kasey Keller, Landon Donovan or DaMarcus Beasley. "I expect that out of them," he said, "but maybe they're not getting enough credit for who they are."

So we'll see Lewis at left back tonight, and if he does well, that could consolidate the team pretty fast. Interesting that Reyna gets props from Bruce here--perhaps he's trying to cool down the earlier criticisms.
