Me too. :D

By the way are ALL our games going to be on PPV this year? Sheesh.

Lots of them will be - no TV Wednesday at all - but then next Saturday is PPV v. Tottenham. Then there are 5 more Sunday PPV between now and January 15th as well.

Last year we were on PPV 10 times, so I figure this year will be 12-13.

They haven't updated the Chelsea logo on UEFA.com, which is where I get those from...and I don't know how to change it to 70x70...that's OK though :D

I'm thinking about getting the match on PPV, but I'm only 16, don't have a job, and have to pay for it myself. Anywhoo... really looking forward to this even if it is only on Eurosport/following Nice's PBP here :D

Methinks 2-1 to the Chelsea in a similar match to the Community Shield. The lads should have a fire under their bums after last week's erm... "performance" but Arsenal will of course be ready to play after they barely pulled it out last weekend.

I'm in last place in both fantasy leagues I'm in and I've never done that badly. Robben needs to do the business this week! COME ON CHELSEA!!!

It depends. If you have digital cable you should be able to go to the channel and purchase a single match. They'll bill you.

Also note, the game will be replayed on FSC on Wednesday the 24th at 1PM ET. But if you're going to rent PPV for a match, I'd imagine this would be the one.

PM me if you need more help - tell me who your cable company is and what channel they go up to..

I just realized, I'll be out Saturday morning and miss the game. Aaaaaaaaaagh. And with Digital Cable, you have to be there to say "Yes, I really want to pay to view this game."

I learned that the hardway, when I ordered PPV on a Chelsea game last year and got 2 hours of taped blue screen excitement.

What is Essien's status for the game? I didn't realize he and Drogba were such pals. I wonder if that had an impact at all.

Tivo allows you to get around that if you order the $300 package.

It hapenned to me last year as well. I had to actually sit the 1st half watching a black screen, waiting for the game picture to appear. Now that i think about it, it was Chelsea vs. Arsenal in December. I hope it doesn't happen this week.

P.S. THe game is on Sunday, not Saturday. ;)

Can't you just leave your TV and box on?

Won't work - you have to push the button to record the PPV event x minutes ahead of time. I know - I had the same problem for Euro2004 and actually had to run home from work to hit "record" on my DVR after Time Warner lied to me. They paid out the ass for that mistake.

Glad to see Robben fired two past Germany today. It would be nice to have him fit and ready to fly past the Arsenal defense. :D

looking forward to a good game. hope it isn't as sloppy as the Charity Shield and i hope Arsenal can crack the Chelsea defense and not play the offside trap. thinking a draw and obviously hoping for a win for the Gunners!

A 3:00am start here in Melbourne, and I have work that morning. Looks like I am going to have limited time sleep.

I am looking extremely forward to the titanic battle, though. I hope Gallas gets another start instead of Carvalho as his speed is needed against Henry. This is a potential 4-0 victory for Chelsea, but I am thinking it will be more along the lines of 2-1.

You're kidding me! I'm on Time Warner too and I bought the PPV yesterday and hit the record button on the DVR because I have to help my girlfriend's mother move on Sunday morning (of all times)...

You're telling me I just spent my money just so I can load heavy boxes into a truck while spending time with my girlfriend's family only to come home to a blue screen? Someone at Time Warner is going to die for this...

Is it as the101er said and you have to authorize the actual purchase (I've ordered PPV matches but was always awake and watching another channel, so I figured the warning was a courtesy to let you know to change the channel), or is it the recording that needs to be authorized? I'll be damned if the bastards charge me for a game I can't see.
